  Indeed Dagney, very sad. He had just performed up in Sacramento a little over a month ago as well. I chatted with folks who went to the concert who are deeply saddened as well. Monday was a rough day for everybody with the Vegas killings and Tom dying. I cannot even fathom the anguish that all those families of injured or deceased victims are going through. The only thing that helps me get through it is listening to music. Think I'll listen to my Tom Petty CD's tomorrow driving an hour and a half to work. Take care, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

  Just woke up turn TV on to hear yet another nut case with a gun.

  first they said 20 dead with 100 injured.

  now i just heard 50 dead and 200 injured.

  whatever it is it just another nut case who was able to get a high power gun to kill people.

  Another sad and tragic evidence that gun regulation laws need to be seriously addressed by congress. And not just on behalf of the NRA lobbyists who get some of these jokers elected into congress. Needs to be more background checks on mental health records. But even then- I do acknowledge that guys like this shooter wedge between the cracks as they don't seem to fit the profile of a serial killer who would lose his shit and kill 59 people.

  Problem is , it's like plugging the holes on the Titanic- just when you think you're identifying nut jobs who kill this way, thousands of others pop up out of the woodwork like him and wreck havoc and destruction on innocent victims. All we can do is be alert, protect each other, our friends and family, be vigilant in our own geographical area against this type of psycho behavior. This jerk has torn apart hundreds of familes lives forever. Disgusting

  Now I just saw on CNN that Tom Petty has died. Apparently he was on life support and tonight he's gone. So very sad. I have about 5 or 6 of his CD's , really enjoyed his music and songwriting and how he rolled. Here's a song I always enjoyed . Rest in peace Tom, we will definitely miss you. So sad, too young.

  Does Morality Exist?

  What did I post for you in the you tube of Harvey victims helping one another right after your initial post, sliced tomatoes ? That's proof positive that morality and decency exist. Even in the hardest of times. Just look at all the heroes helping each other among the victims of the mass shooting at Las Vegas today in which 59 people were killed. There are plenty of " feel good " stories of brave people showing decency, morality, and human empathy in many of these tragedies recently during shootings and natural disasters. If you cannot see that - then perhaps you are in denial
