Just wanted to give another Hurrah, to Raymomd Franz, for his battle and succeeding to come forward to tell of the wrongs of the WTS in regards to this topic and countless other issues. No doubt he has helped many Escape from the Watchtower.

I am ashamed.
by ThomasCovenant inif we cut out all the crap, the jehovah's witness religion kills people through their 'blood' policy.
people die from following it.. therefore i am ashamed to say that i was part of it for so long.
i used to say, as many who are still in still do, that it's not a bad way of life.. yes it is.

In the future, a branch off of the Watchtower Society, will state in their publication, "The NEW LIGHT-House & Christian Reader", that the internet was provided by Jehovah God, to help them escape the Watchtower to proclaim their new faith called "The Truth-ier".
They will assert that Al Gore WAS the God Driven origin of the internet.

Clicks in the "lie"
by Blackboo inas a former witness..i always felt that there were people at the hall who excluded others on purpose.
this can be from inviting people out to dinner, a event, or even field service.
i knew that field service was nothing but a joke becase no one never called me to go out in service with them.

Seems like you were very welcomed in your congregation (sarcastically said).
This goes well with the "brotherhood" of witnesses Topic that someone posted a couple days ago.
Maybe God has better things for you, than to stay caught up in that mess. Look at it as an escape. Go on to do bigger and better things.

Do Witnesses have a Stronger Brotherhood than Christendom Does?
by gumby inthis came up in discussion between me and a fellow ex-dub buddy of mine.. as jw's, we had a brotherly unity.....at least many of us did.
if we were going somewhere and needed a witness to watch our place....even stay at our place, we had no reserves about being ripped off by them.
they were closer than some families members oftentimes and we even preferred being around them as opposed to "wordly" family members.

Some other un-unique forms of "brotherhood"...
Sports teams (US vs THEM), when you're on a great winning team, everyone is all in a sort of super together-ness type of bond.
Fire Fighters and Police
The Military (Marines especially)
Gangs (US vs THEM), totally a super bonding takes place, members can become family-substitutes very easily.
and those in the likes of the Jim Jones klan, and the David Koresh "brotherhood" , etc.
I've experienced JW talking down about other JW in the same and other congregations, caught them lying to each other. Nothing special to me, just the "US vs THEM so let's bond" mentality.

in the proclaimers of gods kingdom book, in the c.russell opening chapter of the book, it states: care is also excercised not to use expressions such as pastor or elder as titles.
i know jw use elder consistently.

Saying someone is an Elder or saying Elder Johnson, in my opinion, is still a title either way, period. Sergeant Dan, and, Dan is a Sergeant,....is still using his title verbally.
