in part, thanks to my current wife as well ( who has platonic guy friends in her life she has known for years ) it helped me to see it is healthy, normal and natural which in my opinion helps both sexes add more insight into the thinking of men and women enabling a more balanced view of life.. most of us as ex-witnesses know of the tight control which was hammered into our brains about being " just friends " with the opposite sex.

i mean, it was ridiculous.

I always got on a lot better with guys then woman growing up, which was something of a problem lol.

So in the end i had to make do with the girls on off, but it was never quite right. I always found them too bitchy and jealous of each other.

Since leaving its been so liberating to be able to hang out with guys and not have to explain myself and answer rumours or prying questions. Its refreshing.

those of you who have been around here for awhile now about this.......but while talking to hubby today another detail popped in my head.my jw adolescence was troubled.

i stayed in trouble.i want to tell you guys about my jc when i was 15 and the subsequent talk that was given in front of god and everybody during the ministry school.well, i had sex with a boy.

not just any boy.

Of course. Im sorry you had to experience that Dinah. It makes me so angry when they pull crap like that, especially on young people.

I know what you mean SAB, it did turn me off a bit but my mum is half anglo-indian and so from that point of view it made me want to see her roots.
