untill a few years ago i found the right song for gettting over the pain and i just summed it all up.. you want to kow what it is?.
well i have always liked metal/grunge even when i was a jw i hid it though and a few years ago i stumbled accross this band and one of their songs just hit home with me!.

I don't know who originally sings it or what it's called, but I heard Johnny Cash's cover of it when I was in a store once and a couple more times since then. Something about "your own...per-son-al...Jee-zus..." Just the few words I did catch did something positive and serene for me. Hit core.

What's up with Islam?

"Is Islam seeking world domination." Please don't confuse present examles of extremism with Islam in general. There are extremists in EVERY religion, and it is extremists who seek world domination. Most religious people want, seek, and pursue peace in daily living. I mean--hello!--have you forgotten what Christians (so-called) have 'accomplished' in the way in world domination/ colonization? Do you not think that the Native Americans and East Indians, e.g., weren't saying to themselves, "What's up with Christianity? Is Christendom seeking world domination?"

If there is no life after death
by onacruse inso where does that leave us?
leave me?.
the logical consequence would be that i should get absolutely every little piece of self-gratification i can get before i die.

Maybe because there IS reward in behaving so here-and-now, not just as promised in the here-after. I disagree, BTW, about it being logical to pursue your own gratification to the exclusion of others' needs, wants, rights if there is no hereafter. Everyone doing that now, if this life IS all there is, would only be that much more miserable and that much more tragic.

Oops! An Atheistic Belief in Witness Doctrine?
by Morocco ini was reading the god delusion by richard dawkins.
in chapter one he states: .
an atheist in this sense of philosophical naturalist is somebody who .

Dawkins means this in the more general sense of there being no 'spirit realm.' Most religions teach of an immortal soul; he may not even be aware of the few religious sects that don't teach that doctrine, specifically.

by DebSmithLopez inup here, in the northern plains, we just recovered from a historic event--- may i even say a "weather event" of "biblical proportions" with a historic blizzard of up to 44" inches of snow and winds to 90 mph that broke trees in half, knocked down utility poles, stranded hundreds of motorists in lethal snow banks, closed all roads, isolated scores of communities and cut power to 10's of thousands.. .

ooohhhhhhhhhhhhh, sinis. say it isn't so. I hear these attitudes and my head just shakes s-l-o-w-l-y side to side. I cannot believe my ears/ eyes and my heart just aches......... Please tell me you can learn to open your eyes and heart to the circumstances of people who are NOT you. This is the last post I will do on this thread because it is too core-deep of a hot-button issue for me. It's all I can say. Maybe this thread should be under 'Adult and Heated Debate' category.

deb--- Please forgive me for saying this: You just displayed a rank degree of ignorance! You need to do some serious research as to what was really happening down there. You honesty sounded just like a tunnel-visioned J-dub spouting off about the WT life/ work ethic vs. Satan's decrepit world's ethics--just as educated and just as erroneously absolute!
