  Are Witnesses now partially accepting the internet?

  i started this thread asking the question because since my parents retired to florida (gods waiting room) ive been getting all kinds of internet witness junk from my mom, ie.

  email stories, video clips of pat robertsons' comments about using the name jehovah, andy rooney of 60minutes stories.. also the email header is filled with adresses of im sure all witnesses.

  i know my mom doesnt have any worldly friends.

  The internet is not banned by the Society and never has been.

  In fact the WTS has two official websites (www.watchtower.org and www.jw-media.org) as well as email addresses for most administrative positions in branches around the world.

  Most JWs I know have an email address and regularly pass on JW-interesting content as well as normal emails.

  The Society does demonise chat rooms and apostate sites, even discouraging pro-JW websites that contain favourable content.

  Convince me to move to your State (U.S. Only)

  my husband and i are throwing around the idea of moving to a different state.

  nothing is set in stone yet, but some changes in his career may allow for us to move wherever we like in the u.s. i love washington state, but i would like to move somewhere a little warmer.

  i've lived in washington all my life and i need a little help in learning about the rest of the u.s.. so convince me to move to your state.

  Clarification about Northern California. Everywhere on the coast is very temperate and beautiful but the cost of living on the coast is higher then most in the nation, especially San Francisco area south to Monterey area.

  Inland Northern California is hot in summer with high point of 105 degrees F (40 deg C), That will cook the juice out of any Washingtonian, trust me. Thankfully there is little or no humidity. Cost of living is roughly equal to the Seattle area.

  If you can handle the heat, Nor Cal is the best in my opinion, legendary coast to the Sierras, with the breadbasket of the world in between.

  If you like the vino, you can go on a wine tour starting in Monterey, north to Napa, over the Central Valley through Lodi, and up into the 1849er country of the Sierra foothills where you can taste gold in a glass of Zinfindel.

  Surf and dive in the morning, snowboard the afternoon. In the spring, the best white water in the world between Sacramento and Tahoe.

  Did I mention Lake Tahoe?

  taking the position that jesus christ is, in fact, the son of god who paid the price for our sins, i dont believe our affiliation with any christian religion "gives a person an 'an edge'" in their approval by god and christ.

  The test for each christian to develope a personal relationship with God and Christ and allow God's Holy Spirit guide their thinking and actions.

  This is exactly why JWs will not comprehend the reasoning of the article you posted.

  The JW is subordinate to the organisation (specifically the Governing Body) in all things. In no circumstance would the JW believe that they could go directly to Jesus as their authority.

  That there has "always been an organisation used by Jehovah" is a doctrine pounded in the mind of every JW.

  Thank you Blondie for exposing this programming in every WT study review you write.

  she said she must get a special directive to give to the hospital.
