  i know this question has been asked before, but i can't find the old post about this.

  i am looking for another area of the us to move to.

  JWD outage -- what if it were longer or worse, permanent?

  jwd to me, and for some like me, is my morning coffee.

  if its not up, like earlier today, it gets me to thinking, what if this were a permanent thing?

  what if jwd were actually shut down like our friend quotes site in 2006?

  I just came out of a time like that for about 5 months and it was very hard! I really needed the site as I was coming out of the belief system to my family of witnesses and had begun my speration from husband of 18 years. Man was it hard. I made it of course but it would have been easier with like minded people. cabs

  i am not certain that this is the right area to put this topic but if not please feel free to put it in a better spot.

  last night i was talking on the phone to a friend that i had made on a different forum.

  she and i were talking about her rrecently meeting mr...could be .. right.

  I am not certain that this is the right area to put this topic but if not please feel free to put it in a better spot. Last night I was talking on the phone to a friend that I had made on a different forum. She and I were talking about her rrecently meeting Mr...could be .. Right. The conversation turned itself around so that we were talking about personal experiences and she related that she could see spirits.. she had told me that before and I was VERY skeptical. This time she related mmore stories that made an impression. She told me that everyone has spirit ~ spiritual guides and that I have 3 .. there are 2 males and a female. A fourth moves in and out... hhmm. I asked her to describe them and she did describe one man and she described my childrens great grandfather I believe. Sure sounded like him. I adored that man but he died in the 1970s. How many of us still believe that these are demons etc. and why. How many of us believe that this can be the truth and we are granted guides at birth? Some of the things that she said really blew me away about this.

  i just read a thread that is running on here about a family moving to a lovely place in ontario.

  well, i am trying to do the same thing but did not want to usurp the previous thread.

  the difference is ... i want to go by myself with my 2 pugs and live in the 'bush'(deep in the woods) for a year.

  Algonquin park is the area that I am looking at presently. Perhaps the Powassan area. Been to River Valley but that is so flat. Actually I will be going up in a few weeks to look around at the area and check the prices, meet more people through my friends.. see what exists. I am out on a mountain here but houses are being built around here yearly. Up the road one person decided to make his field into a trailer park and now cars are racing up and down our little country road.. aacckk. There is a way to go up for 6 months at a time and return to the states for 24 hours and go back for 6 months. I know someone who has done that. She is allowed to take one trip with her possessions and not be charged... after that she pays to carry her furniture etc over the border. That is why for me it would be 6 month to a year. I want to have some solace and heal. I dont want to see JWs and I dont want anyone to say that name around me or their beliefs. This past year I took care of the marriage problems... the divorce should be finalized next month. I want to see what I myself am made of..and hopefully will have the humility to stop and admit defeat if it bacomes too much. Does anyone know if there are any good places to take an art course or two around Powassan? Thanks

  Actually they would look more like a truffle!! Seriously, I never let the furkids out up here on the mountain even for a second without me because of the coydogs etc. They are cherished and watched very carefully. (smile)

  I just read a thread that is running on here about a family moving to a lovely place in Ontario. Well, I am trying to do the same thing but did not want to usurp the previous thread. The difference is ... I want to go by myself with my 2 pugs and live in the 'bush'(deep in the woods) for a year. If I am able to handle the difficulties and feel that I can handle this life longer then I am going to make arrangements to stay on longer. At the moment I am looking up in the Powassan area. I would love some feedback from others on here that know the area better. My goal is to be near areas where I will hear the wolves at night but be able to be relatively secluded. Will need a phone. I am willing to draw my own water if need be. Any ideas? I have friends in Powassan that are willing to help me get settled in a bit. Would like to go in the spring. Please reply on here or pm me. I am alone now and can do this now...I need to further heal. Thanks, Cabs/Mary

  My Mom passed away today.

  after a lenthy illness, 10 years in total, my mother, margaret stecko, passed away peacefully today surrounded by family.

  she was 84, and leaves behind 3 children, 5 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

  she was a jw but never shunned me.

  let me start by saying that i have posted here before about my wacko sister -in-law.

  this time it is bad.

  we recieved a phone call from my husbands father on friday night asking about how we were and what we were up to ,no biggie just odd since its only maybe the second time in over a year that he has called.

  My first reaction is to NOT go to her in person. She sounds unbalanced. If you feel that you must then have everything tape recorded. My suggestions are as follows: 1. copy everything 2. give orinals to the police 3. keep one copy of everything ~ at least one 4. make a copy for the elders and send a copy to EVERY elder. That way she will have a harder time squirming out of her problems. 5. Yes, ask the police if they think that a restraining order is needed 6. Get it if you need to do so. You have babies to worry about.
