Why the NFL Protest Is a Massive and Insulting Failure
by freemindfade ini think everyone has the freedom to protest, they also have freedom of speech, these are two fundamental things that make america amazing.
but thinking rationally about what is going on with the nfl, therefore, i have an unfavorable opinion of the league, and the players, not their right to free speech, but their motive and execution of it.
constitutional freedom to protest ends at the workplace door too.

The left has sucked the fun out of everything
Comedy can't be funny, it's too offensive
Sports and TV can't be entertaining, politics must infect everything in our lives
I don't go to my doctor for him to come into the exam room and start telling me his political opinions and what I should believe unsolicited. I don't watch the NBA for the same reason. I pay to watch basketball not be the audience for a political agenda.
Especially by what has become an increasingly radical left platform occupied by athletes, and limousine liberals that live in a bubble. I was so disappointed in the words of Michelle Obama, (and I wsay disappointed because I actually like her very much and respect her) when she says women who voted for one political party were wrong and that they should have voted for a woman because they are women... does anyone see how insane that sounds? It is cult/biased thinking 101. You should think one way because of *insert category*. People have lost their damn minds, now the librarian rejecting dr Seuss books, because Melanie trump donated them??? I think more moderate Democrats are leaning conservative because all of this crap has gone batshit crazy

Moral of this whole story
- POTUS stay out of sports
- Sports stay out of politics

I haven't heard anyone defend Trump's words. Not in that video, or on here, I think it's a foregone conclusion that was in epically poor taste.
And Trump isn't the first person to incite North Korea, that has been coming for a LOOONNNG time. Here are two other times they said America essentially declared war
- John Mccain called Kim a "Crazy fat kid"
- When the movie The Interview was released
So North Korea didn't start making nukes and threatening America after this years election, their escalation has been a long time coming, and they are literally provoked by anything, of course, loud mouth Trump would add to that, but it's intellectually dishonest to say he made this mess. In all honesty, for good or bad, if Hillary was president I bet we would already be at war with them, again not sure if that would be better or worse, but Trump is historically anti-war. Just saying. At some point, someone has to do something about a rogue nation that is essentially a cult with nukes.

Brokeback is everything that is wrong with this whole thing
1. supports a baseless, nebulous protest
2. Thinks criticism = censorship
As usual, Dave Rubin is the most rational balanced voice on these issues. This gives the reality of this whole thing from every angle.

There are a lot of athletes who actively do something about social issues and lead by example, but the media would rather focus on the crybabies falsely claiming how bad this country supposedly is.

It's fascinating, that's different than effective, but as usual, you cannot add anything to it from either side of the debate, just be salty and be proud of yourself like same virtue signalers. Good job continuing to add nothing

To go back to my main points of the OP, that the protest message is unknown, or the intent unclear, I am seeing a lot of people (especially on social media) reacting to veterans who feel slighted by the NFL, so what do these people say? They say they are misunderstanding, that its directed at the flag, or country, but is that true? If you go back to the clown that started this whole thing, these are his exact words:
"I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,"
Now, I don't care if you aren't patriotic, or what you choose to protest, my whole point has been that this is big virtue signal circle jerk, and when called on it, instead of owning it, now everyone tries to make the narrative different. So the lying bothers me, the hypocrisy, and then pretending that the people you are offending "just don't get it". Speaking for vets that are upset, the real reason stated above, can be quite insulting and make you dislike the whole thing.
Kaepernick who is so stupid says he has no pride in this country, and then wears a Fidel Castro shirt to a press conference, is a clown and the protest is a joke. Go do something that makes a difference instead of flying your own virtue signal.

Now people everywhere on social media are taking a knee and virtue posting pics. So are they doing it for the police brutality? Nope. Its like I said in the OP they are protesting the fact people criticize the protest. Ridiculous
