  I have heard that secret science labs are always kept deep in the castle dungeons. The only external sign might well be the antenna on top of the watchtower decoration which is there to collect lightning bolts for their unholy experiments...naturally these are only held late at night and preferably during electrical storms.

  I can really picture old Freddy in this context.........Wa-ha-ha-ha-ha------ as he rubs his hands together in a very creepy manner....

  Maybe I am missing your point, Anonymouse? Are you saying a non-religious pedophile is worse than a non-pedophile witness? If so, I obviously would have to agree. But what about that small percentage of JWs who are also practicing pedophiles?

  I think the analogy was that not only do the JW demonstrably have a child molestation PR problem, but so does Michael Jackson. And the Jacksons (or many of them) have claimed in the past to be Jehovahs Witnesses. Michael apparantly still does, at least during the last trial.

  But let's not forget that he was found not guilty, by a jury of twelve of his peers. (media-hero-worshipping californians, at least one of whom attended the victory bash). He also had about the best lawyers that money could possibly buy, and IMHO about the worst prosecutor since the OJ trial.

  The jurors who gave interviews after the trial certainly made a brilliant impression, did they not?

  Maybe they could start up where the Alchemists left off - trying to make gold out of lead.

  Makes sense to me at least -

  * - they view "conventional" science as a bunch of clap-trap, feeling superior making up any pseudo-science they want as they go along...

  * - they have shown a great need and love for gold in the past...

  * - they probably have a lot of typesetting lead left over from the Linotype days...

  IMHO, at least 50% of them are brainwashed by their mullahs into intolerant potentially suicidal robots. That includes many so-called "moderate islamics" who are in fact contribiting to terrorist organizations financially and spiritually.

  Kind of as if Jehovah's Witnesses had backpack bombs and Kalishnikovs, and decided not to wait any longer for Armageddon.

  People who do not endorse their primitive & animalistic religion deserve to die, in this warped belief system.

  Does that last emotion sound familiar to anything we have experienced?

  i was emboldened by elsewhere's post where he called his mini cooper "nancy".

  the large glass of wine also helped me to make an admission.

  many years ago, i named my car "sully" after the scrumptious character in "dr quinn, medicine woman", mainly to tease my daughter.

  Cross-pollenization alert: A thread of the same subject just appeared again on my Ferrari web site...here is a sampling -

  The largest category was names of wifes/girlfriends: ava, bella, betsy, kate, isabella, etc...

  There were a few creative girl names - sophia, as in sophia loren (it's an Italian thing),

  three volvos named inga, helga, and olga...

  and a 1991 Testarossa named "ginger" for the ginger on gilligans island...(Testarossa means "red head", the cylinder heads are painted red on this car)

  There were a couple of bizarre noteworthies - a Mondial QV named "mongo" from blazing saddles,

  and best of all: A weird 512TR creation which is a black roadster made by de-topping a car like the Miami Vice Ferrari. It was formerly owned by Dennis Rodman. The present owner has named it "the slutmobile"!

  911 Porsche - "Little Tough Guy" (who has the power to PISS NEARLY EVERYBODY OFF)

  used to have an old 1984 Corvette that all three stepkids drove to school and subsequently wrecked in one minor way or another -

  -- the kids named it "Rat Dog" --

  Note that most everybody around here (Dallas) thinks it is perfectly OK to have a name for a car, but those personalized license plates are only appropriate for the mistresses of rich oil men.
