  open marriages, anyone have experience?

  well, my husband found out about my affair (yes, i gave in to the temptation with the soccer player and while it was fantastic, it's over now) and it's been a devestating time, we almost got divorced, but we're working through it.

  i knew telling friends and this board wasn't going to help me fight his romantic advances, but i tried.

  it was a one time thing that would have continued, but i wasn't too careful about the clues (guilty conscience i think).

  lisa is a solo-practicing wiccan whom i've been dating for a while now.

  she explained to me early on, that she had never "cast" because she didn't feel that she had enough knowledge, or experience, or something, and was afraid of getting it wrong.

  i encouraged her to go ahead and cast, saying that experience is obtained by the doing.

  There was.

  Wouldn't that be...oh, I dunno...a PROBLEM?

  In what way? That I couldn't restrain myself from groping her in the middle of the ceremony? It wasn't. This was a very important and meaningful event to her. I wasn't going to detract from its significance by my behavior. I cooperated with her, not because of what the ceremony meant to me, but because of my respect for what it meant to her. She was serious, and so I became serious with her.

  Now, if I'd been with a group rather than just the two of us, and if they weren't all people with whom I was already being intimate, then it might be distracting for me to get an erection--but, I'm sure, far more so to me in my immediate multisensory awareness of it than to them, to whom it would probably be at most a peripheral oddity to be noticed and quickly forgotten or ignored. I don't see that as a source of damage to my self-esteem. I'm aware that women have things going on that at times take precedence over my sexual impulses.

  Having A Merry Xmas...Am I! :)

  had some problems with the heater going out and then the electricity had a bit of an outage problem and had to call pg&e was told it could be a wait and then christmas came early for us!

  the wonderful pg&e guy showed up soon after the call in to them, and he fixed the problems!
