i give up, the hurricane is unstoppable and you gotta get with it or get out.. its on tv here on sunday night, "60 minutes", not the dubs, but the catholics.

the wbts only responded by addressing how the pedophile issue is addressed in the 50 states.. are we to believe pedophiles live only in the us?.

This doesnt just affect america, in australia this too is a problem, i know of a case where it was "buried" under the carpet, only for the same offender many years later to do the same thing, and the elders outright lied and said they had no knowlege of anything ever happening before.... One of the detestable things to jehovah is lying, how very guilty the elders are for lying, and in due corse if their beliefs come true god will judge them guilty for their crimes against his people.

JW RAPE

the 16 yr old girl get's raped by a 26 yr old ministerial servant,.

so she goes to the elders about it.. the elders arrange a judicial committe meeting and listen to both sides of the story......... then they go to a room for five minutes and come back, and tell her that they are going to privately reprove both of them.........."furious", she asks what she is being reproved for, and they say "fornication".. they remind both of them to not gossip about it or tell anyone.. because it will bring reproach on jehovahs organization.. the girl, then goes to other elders, and appeals the elders decision, and complains that she got raped!!!

!.....she gets another committe meeting,,,,,they quickly come to the same decision and warn her to keep quiet,,,,,,,she goes to other elders.....they promise to help her...they believe her, ...days go by.........months go by...........she is in a meeting when they announce that brother rapist has been given a part on the assembly.........everyone claps........she goes back to the elders asking them how it is that he just got a part on the assembly, when he just raped her............they start reminding her to be submissive to the lead or they will take action,.....she can't keep quiet........they anounce that she has been reproved.........she starts speaking out against the whole body of elders,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,bingo, she is disfellowshipped for apostacy, and there is no value to her claims at all,,,,,,,,she was just an apostate fornicater, trying to smear a nice brother.....

how about all abuse victims get together and sue the wt for a billion dollars of reparation (in this country certainly a reasonable amount!

...similar to how lungcancer patients sued the tabacco industry.

that should put the wt out of buisness!!!

Barbara Anderson Disfellowshipped

as of 1 pm today barb anderson was notified that she has been disfellowshipped in writing by the judicial committee in her congregation.

barb was df in absentia at a second hearing that was declared after she successfully defended herself against charges in the first hearing.

home office came back with further instructions to make it stick the second time around.

Barbara what can i say except thank you so much for standing up for what you believe in, in a round about way i too was disfellowshipped for the molesting issue. My thoughts are with you at this time and hope that all the strength you need to get through this will be given to you. Thank you once again for standing up for the little people.

It almost makes me think of david and goliath, you stood up to the mighty goliath.

Observations on a bunch of Ex Dubs

perhaps i could have put this in the "apostofest" thread, but i didnt want it to get buried and unread.. a load of melbourne ex witnesses rolled around to my house yesterday for an "apostofest" bbq.. i must admit i was a bit..apprehensive.

fact was, i didnt know any of them.. total strangers really.. would things be strained?

would people have nothing to say to each other?would it, in fact be an embarrassment?.

A big thank you to refiners and beck for organizing and holding the apostafest, i wish on behalf of my new husband and i to apologize for the wreckless behaviour of my brother and sister, they are a fine example in how wild people can get after they leave the troof, it was a pleasure to meet all of you people....
James my new husband had been very cheesed of with the sect as he calls it but meeting you guys made him feel very welcome and i thank you for that, he fit in so well... i still dont know how i got that blue tongue though, did someone spike the drinks?

MANDATORY Reporting of Child Abuse

it appears there are a few misconceptions when it comes to the reporting of child abuse.

the federal law child abuse prevention and treatment act (capta)(jan. 1996 version), 42 u.s.c.

failure to report can result in civil liability.

This is a very painful subject for me, i had my 16 year old daughter at the police last night because she remembered something that had happened to her when she was 9, this sick individual who was her uncle and who did fellowship with the witnesses apparently had been doing this for years, in fact he abused my niece, the issue i have is that the elders knew of his "past" that he had abused before in the congregation, it was swept under the carpet, and not even the family were told, so i had this twisted sick person living under my roof, not knowing that he was even capable of doing such a hideous thing, and why, because the elders did not report it, and did he do any jail time, no, why, because everything had been hidden for too long, and now i have to try to explain to my daughter why i didnt protect her from this animal, if only they had spoken up years earlier when it first occured none of his other victims would have been victims at all.
