Is a resurrected you really you or just a clone?

he stated that a resurrected body is not really the person who dies, but a clone and hence not the same person.
he said it was no different than a person who is about to die who makes a copy of himself (with the same thoughts and memories).. he said it was similar to the concept of the dematerializer transporter on star trek.

He said the body that gets dematerialized is gone forever and the one that rematerializes is a new one who is an exact clone, but not the same person. He cites an episode where a guy gets beamed up but during the process a malfunction occurs in the memory banks and when the restoration occurs, two guys come out and they are clones of one another and there is no way to tell which is the "real" one.
He says the same about the resuurection, if it were true. He said that if God recreates your body from his memory, he is in fact making a clone of the person who died. He stated that according to what he knows about JW teachings, the only ones who will be the same are the ones who live through Armageddon. Everyone else will be a copy of the original.
He added that is why folks who want to be resurrected by science preserve either the whole body or the head because that is the only way the original "person" can live on.

Who knows of an Annointed one getting Disfellowshipped?
by annalice inok ,so if new annointed ones can still come about , who here has ever heard of any annointed ones in their congregation or surrounding congregations getting disfellowshipped or simply fading out of the organization.
thus allowing some new annointed one to take their place?.
and if someone says "hey i am annointed" do they have to check with bethal who then checks a list or something to see if there is a annointed one somewhere in the world who just got d'fd?.

My ex-brother-in-law claimed to be of the annointed and about 10 years later was disfellowshipped for "trying to correct the organization." Supposedly he is working with some other individuals who will reform the Society from within. He told me a while back that something shocking and amazing will happen in the near future. "Near future" sounds likes terms and phrases used by the current organization.

Yes, my ex-wife told me they covered the mirrors in the womens restroom with brown paper and sometimes it had Luke 16:10 written on it. The one good thing about it is that she said it was usually partially torn away by lunchtime on the first day.

I agree with Leolaia, these references were posted to convince JW's that the transaltion of Jehovah in the NT is based on solid evidence. However, this was one of my sources of issue with organization while I was still in it. I was able to see through the facade and realize that these "J sources" have no more weigjht than the NWT. It would be like someone translating the New Testament into another language and using the NWT as a source to support a particular rendering.

As someone who does ship a lot of product to International destinations, I can tell you that Noah would have been overwhelmed with all of the documentation needed to ship all those animals. He would have to declare what the cargo was, the country of origin of every item being shipped and the correct Harmonization/Schedule B codes. If any of it was incorrect, he would face huge fines and the cargo would be seized by port authorities.

I was up until the tenure of GW Bush. I am now a man in the middle.
What is the appeal of the party to you?
I never cared for the religious right aspect of it, but I was attracted by the lower taxes and the belief that most who take handouts are people who can actually work. And that most of what bad happens to aperson is their making, not everyone esles.
At what moments do you feel proud to be a GOP member?
I was happy when communism fell and America was viewed as stong agin in the 1980's.

I don't get the folks who get so riled up at O'Reilly. I do not find him that much to the right except in religious matters. Hannity is the one I can't stomach. He's as annoying as Keith Olbermann.

Not really, but I don't think Fox is as "right" as some make it, just as I don't see CNN as "left" as some say.
