Today's text caused a fight between myself and my "Still In" wife.
by NikL inshe insisted on reading it to me and i just couldn't keep my freaking mouth shut.. see if you can tell why.... sunday, february 18.
they would go where the spirit inclined them to go.—ezek.
jesus has appointed the ‘faithful slave’ to be the only channel for dispensing spiritual food.

Where some of the money is going - from AM III
by Listener inthere is a public talk given by tight pants tony on youtube titled "the real armageddon, why, when"his talk, as usual, doesn't make much sense.
he says armageddon is not a nuclear holocaust or an asteroid hitting the earth it's god's war against all the political nations of the earth.
he talks about a celestial phenomenon that will be phenomenal.

"not in print and still is not in print to this day. "- might not be in print but now it is on the internet for all time even if they get new light we can still see the old light.

Boyfriend force me to study the bible or no marriage
by MuslimWoman inmy boyfriend, who is a disfellowshipped jehova's witness, asks me to study the bible for 3 months or he won't marry me (i'm a muslim woman).
he loves me and really wants to marry me but he is doing a passive blackmailing: if i don't study for 3 months, 1 time per week, in my home country, and without him, there will be no marriage... as a muslim, i believe the bible is god's word so i look at the bible from time to time and would be happy to study with him.
but the fact that he is kind of saying "study the bible or bye bye no marriage" is really hurtful.

Research this cult then run like heck.
I hope you understand that the jw's are not Christians, at least most mainstream Christians do not consider them so.

What’s the most effective way to wake the largest amount of JW’s up?

If the knowledge of all the sexual abuses cases, ungodly blood issues, shunning, being told what to do, when to do it, how to do it, how to wipe your ass, doesn't wake them up, nothing will. Until they suffer something themselves, be it cognitive dissonance, being on the receiving end of shunning or a broken heart.
Loss is what I see bringing people out. Loss of faith. Loss of a loved one. Loss of innocence. Loss of family and/or marriage. General loss of belief in everything and having to reconsider an entire new way to look at life & the world.
jwfacts is good too!

The John Cedars Channel on YouTube taken down after posting a critique of leaked videos for Regional (District) Convention
by oppostate inthe wt is at it again it seems.
playing dirty as it can, trying to silence dissenters.. the john cedars channel on youtube has been taken down after the posting of a video critique of regional (district) convention leaked videos.. sounds like something putin would do in russia.
you know what they say, birds of a feather fly together--what a murder of crows all of'em!.

"Banned" videos tend to make more people want to watch them and see why they were taken down or what is on them that a company/religion don't want the public to see.
quick Google search -here is an example of some banned Ted Talks that went viral because they were banned

Annual Meeting 2017—Talks and Adjustments to the Ministry
by Zeds Dead injust watched this video on dub broadcasting website under latest videos.. the tony morris part about 18 mins into the video where he takes forever sermonizing about "seeking out ones rightly disposed to everlasting life" he goes on and on about it and then finally says "the gb have decided that there will only be 3 magazines a year for the public and no year books anymore".
firstly there must be some active dubbers asking why it took forever just to say that and secondly why another cut back?.
seems like the whole thing is just about the website now..

Only 3 mags a year for the public? Meaning they have to keep offering the same 3 all year or do they still hand out their old wt's/awakes?
They pretty much are expected to go knocking on doors asking people to watch a video now?
I'm confused, my house has a big giant X Do NOT Call under any circumstances! on their little maps I think, so I haven't heard the spiel in quite some time.

Please Switch Off Your Critical Thinking
by pale.emperor ini have an uneasy feeling inside that something is coming this year or the next.
perhaps a new big announcement that turns jwdom on it's head.. we've seen the statement in the watchtower november 15th, 2013 which said:.
watchtower november 15th, 2013 - page 20, paragraph 17.. .

I wonder what the general non jw population would think of the 2013 quote? I would like to see it done like a roving reporter asking the man on the street kind of thing. Kind of like how Jay Leno used to do.
Hope my jw remembers not to drink actual kool aid if it is offered at the kh.

The Red Headed League
by dropoffyourkeylee ini am sitting here watching my pioneering wife get service time ‘writing letters’ to not-at-homes.
she has a long list of names and addressees where the jws in field service never got anyone home.
the letter is simply a word for word copy, handwritten on note paper, then sent in the usmail.

"She has a long list of names and addressees "- does she put her return address on the envelope? I think we got one of those once and it annoyed me no end that they merely supplied the time of the kh meeting.
I would have done exactly what Finkel suggested in his post.
Why should jw's have our addresses and often names when we can't have theirs? I had one at the door once and they refused to give their last name. Why? because it wasn't the 'policy' and they were afraid some nut job might look them up and come find them. That was the short of it anyway. So, here these nut jobs are knocking on my door but I can't go and knock on theirs with a message of my choosing? jw's always ask what they are not willing to do themselves in my experience.
