  In the US people are surprised to find out jw's make notes about them! they find it creepy and it usually makes them angry when they find out.

  Cart Witnessing at Library

  hello everyone, i live here in the states, and over the past summer and fall, i noticed that several times when i went to the public library there were witnesses sitting outside next to the door with their cart.

  usually a couple of old geezers just sitting there racking up field service time.

  my question is, do they have to get special permission from the city to do this?

  I used to carry stickers about jw's (jwfacts.com and so on) and put them on the rags if they were in the library. I did notice that when the rags got polluted with my stickers they no longer left them there. Finally I did call and ask if all groups could leave literature. That seemed to do the trick. Our library has a 'window' where groups can set up an info/images etc.. so it could be scouts or the a local church having a shrimp dinner or whatever.

  You could also use the library computer and leave up jwfacts or anti witness site of your choice when done.

  Before we had a home printer I had to go and use the library to print out some (ex) jw info (back in my research days) and I think the lady doing the printing for me was a jw! she was clearly unhappy about what I was printing and tried to give me a hard time about how much I was printing. I had to pay for the copies so she shouldn't have cared that much.

  Call the library and speak to the head person, ask them if they will be allowing all religions and groups to set up as well. Problem solved.

  how long did you all wait before telling new friends or someone you are or were dating that you used to be a witness?

  how did they react?

  if you did tell them do they make jokes at you every so often about it 😊 is it best not to tell people?

  I am embarrassed to tell people that my husband is a jw. When I do they usually say something to the effect of, "oh, I always thought he was smarter than that". It is often too long and hard to explain that anyone could fall victim (even willingly) to a cult. I try not to mention it, ever, if possible.

  When I must explain the cult I too do as Giordano and try to use it as an anti witness opportunity. I bring up the things most people will be horrified by and now we can add some humor when I tell them to look up pillowgate

  Snake In My Fridge

  i just now went to get meat from my fridge to cook, took the meat out & shut the door as i shut the door i thought i saw a piece of rope in the six pack i had just opened & had removed 2 cans, already drunk 1.. open the door again & there i saw what i thought was a piece of rope, but i look a bit closer ...... shit it's a friggin snake, bugger i had only just taken two cans out wtf.. .

  Scratch, with all the real horrors of the wt (abuses, families destroyed, deaths, lost relationships, lost jobs, young people with no where to go because their jw parents want to toss them out with the trash for simply for believing differently and lets not even get started on their perversions of the Bible) we all, at times, need a good hard laugh about the whole damn organization that has touched each and every one of us.They supply their own ridiculousness! Lighten up, just a few giggles.

  You can either laugh or cry and most of have run out of tears by now. Laughing is just so much more fun, plenty of time for the serious crappy stuff we see and live with everyday.

  jehovah himself gives the saying "the women telling the good news are a large army" psalms 68 : 11 coupled with the fact that a good portion of women partake of the emblems and wine at the annual memorial celebration.. identifying themselves as part of the 144000 that are taken from the earth to rule with christ jesus in the heavens.. isn`t it about time they were recognized for their contributions and given the fact that gods word the bible clearly states that 144,000 of anointed are to be taken from the earth which many women are a large part of.?.

  revelation ch.14 :4 could be argued that they are not lesbians { "these are the ones who do not defile themselves with women ,in fact they are virgins, etc,etc.}.

  i wonder just how many men who claim to be of the anointed have not defiled themselves with women and are virgins.?.

  I would agree with never.

  If a bunch of women go together to rise up for even the smallest thing, let''s say wearing pants, they would fear being marked, bad association and even df'ing. They don't stand a chance rising up for more important issues.
