Steve, no need to feel chastened. That's the beauty of being free from a cult, saying what's on your mind without looking over your shoulder to see who may be listening. Instead enjoy, NO reveal in that freeness.

free2beme, like that screen name. Be who you are, there are no restrictions, other than the rules of the board, that shackle your right to speak your mind. IMHO the wtbts is the most dangerous cult in existence, because of HOW they operate, how they obtain converts. Lies, deception, mis-direction. Once they have you, your either brain-dead, or so indoctrinated you are truly assimilated into "the Borg", "Borg", a term Farkel coined several years ago. Fits the wt to a T.

I didn't post the images for "praise", although it felt good to receive the praise given. EVERYONE who posts anything to this board desires recognition for what they contribute. I'd be a liar if I said otherwise. Fancy myself a writer as well. Wrote a short story want to use it as a foundation to expand into a novella, with your permission would like to PM it to you, extend the same invitation to you Steve as well. If it's a piece of junk tell me. Tear into it, as Kudra said; Nothing wrong with getting some criticism. ......... Let me know, and I'll send it along.

Seems so, there is a 50/50, or at least 60/40 break in Bible scholars reasoning about Jesus. Is he an amalgamate myth? Was he a real person around which mythical stories were attached ? Was Jesus a TOTAL mythological persona made up from myth and mystery beliefs of the time? How much influence did the cult of Sol Invictus have on the Jesus story and Gospels" How much influence did Paul's writings have, necessitating a need for a back story to fill the void? One could go on and on with the questions.

For me it is not so much finding the truth, as it is to reason on the matter, come to solid conclusions, It becomes important for believers and non-believers to REASON these things out. Why? Because of the wtbts that has a death grip on those who have left and those who have stayed.

As jw.s we were not aloud to reason thing out, let alone question ANYTHING taught. NOW we have the luxury of doing that. Lets use it.

I attempt writing as well, the key word is attempt. Posting here gives needed feedback, as you pointed out. That's all I have to say. This turned into an interesting topic, Unexpected on my part, learned some things from it.

I have to say that the crude references to pedophilia back-fired badly. The easiest thing in the world is to accuse people - e.g., the JWs - of being pro-pedophiles - a cheap and nasty shot. Dressing the GB up in Nazi regalia has been done to every group imaginable. The milking of the Nazi horrors continues in the 21st century........Steve2

I don't feel the pedophile issue was a crude cheap nasty shot that backfired. Not accusing people of anything. Accusation goes to the gb and their attitude. I took all Nazi insignia off those uniforms and yes the Nazis will continue to be used as an example of total control tyranny for years to come. Perhaps the below image would have made a better point?

Thanks folks for your positive comments, they are appreciated. Enjoy what I do, brings a release from the otherwise dull life I live.

Free, the images "suck". They are not "worthy" of praise. OK, sure there are other folks that feel as you. I forgot we lived in a world where any critical thoughts are taboo. Critical thoughts are not taboo, you made yours known, did you not? God forbid, I should receive positive comments from others who like the images. You don't , fine, criticize away.

Shellby, the EARLY Ebionites already had a Jesus Christ and a Christian teaching in place before The Gospels, Jesus of said Gospels and the Apostles. How embarrassing for Paul and the early church that would have been. Could be where Mark got his "Q" document, out of that community......I cannot find the source for my assertion, have learned from this I need to keep a log book when coming across things of interest. Bad scholarship on my part. Therefore I re-tract any and all assertions concerning the Ebionites made by me. Shellby, fire up the oven and roast the crow, corn on the side if you please....... , apologize for sidetracking the topic.

It looks to me that a few obscure passages have been retro-fitted to create that illusion.....( Terry ).....Appears to be the case. Also, they had the intermediate books to draw from as well. There were two ( I think, shaky limb again ) that claimed to be THE MESSIAH prior to the Jesus of the Gospels. Both were executed of course. Interestingly they were Galileans. Galilee, separated from Jerusalem by Samaria seemed to be a hotbed of anti-Roman sentiment.

Sigh, have to put Quinn to bed. I'll be back, but aien;t going to have a love child with me...
