a) spiritistic

b) addictive

c) unclean

if it can't be shown to be spiritistic, and can be shown not to be addictive (not all smokers are addicted), then where does that leave the wts. and does the smoking ban extend to all smoking of tobacco, cigarettes, pipes, cigars etc?

Intellectual starvation among JWs

wanted to write another topic entirely, but after quite some thinking i thought that one particular topic should be addressed.

especially, for people still feeling confused.

we often wonder why so many dubs looks like zombies, why it is hard to make them see the real truth about the truth, why cant they discuss any topic in depth without resorting to reasoning book or other wtbs literature, why it is that they are so easily manipulated, why it is that they are filled with apostate state of mind fears (fearing to question anything), why, why, why?

havn't got much time to write, but just to say that the wts knows that dubs will inevitably look around for extra-dubworld-stimulation and have put in place a nice strategy for dealing with these unwelcome curiosities. its called "the awake" magazine, that deals on an unbelievably superficial level (and in a perfidious way) with science, politics etc and puts a "slant" (how's that for understatement!) on these things, co-opting them into the service of keeping jonny dub's mind firmly closed.

wish i had more time to write and supply examples for lurkers. can anybody help?

at least the rural folk had the green and blue they had always known, their fall cushioned by the dewy grass, onlookers nothing but nature itself.

there is a kind of fulfillment to go that way, to die as one lived, the soil's fool, in the softness that humanity craves at the end.

the city dwellers had no such comfort at the last; their end would be filthy and harsh, we knew it, we who had seen the wickedness that their spaces had bred.
