  Mother's Letter To Start Off The New Year...

  i received this letter from my mother over the weekend, it came with a card and a special note to my children.

  i am needing a catchy name for a niche catering business.. i thought of "the home cookery" .... but i'm not sure if that is quite right.

  What is the most important thing to know?

  if there was just one piece of information you could pass on to another what is the most important thing you can think of that a person should know?.

  i would say "never stop learning".. also what subject gives the most enlightenment on life ?.

  i would say physics as everything branches from there.

  I think the most important lesson I have learned is:

  I am in control of EVERYTHING I THINK, FEEL, and DO.

  It is all a choice. If I don't like my life, I can make different choices. They won't be easy, but it is possible!

  In less than 10 years I went from being an Over 300 lb. depressed spinster virgin to a curvy 160 lb.(or so ....)adored wife and mother.

  I had to change the way I thought about almost everything .... food, men, the borg ... myself and my sexuality ..... but by some miricle (I want to call it Grace) I realized that I could change how I thought.

  I am glad to wake up in the morning ... and I wouldn't trade this life I live for anything in the world .... my only prayer is that my loved ones are kept safe and I get to live this way and think this way for a very long time.

  Enjoying the 5 senses

  as many of you know, i struggle from time to time with depression and even suicidal thoughts.

  i was thinking yesterday that the next time i get to feeling that way i would remember very simple things that bring me great joy and tie those to a sensory experience that i can bring up in my mind to remind me of how good life really is to snap me out of those deep foul moods.

  so here are my 5.. taste -- the taste of my mother's pecan cookies warm out of the oven.. smell -- the smell of my yard after a spring rain.. sight -- the sight of the north georgia mountains' fall leaves.. sound -- the heart touching songs from les miserables.. touch -- the feel of getting my back scratched by mitch.. please feel free to add your 5.. hugs.

  Taste - Warm chocolate chip cookies .... straight from the oven.

  Smell - A freshly bathed baby.

  Sight - Any view from a mountain top.

  I like "MY Kitchen" ... and "Honey, I'm Home" ......I guess if we aren't in the same area we can use the same names....??

  Would anyone else mind checking their phone books for cool catering names ... as long as you aren't in Ohio I think it would be OK.
