Yeah, they’re using a new scripture for oral instructions now. It says something like, “you don’t need it in writing”. It’s from one of Paul’s letters. What is it?
They’ve got a scripture for everything.
administering a blood transfusion when directed by a superior - jehovah's witness policy effective june 15th, 2018. while the hospital liasion committee elders were instructed that they may inform doctors and nurses of this decision, this letter was not allowed to be distributed to anyone outside of hlc members.. as a result of the concealment of this letter, and by virtue of the fact that this information was only to be shared verbally with jehovah's witness medical professionals and others, confusion erupted across the united states and in other branch offices of jehovah's witnesses.
countless letters were received at watchtower headquarters in new york from concerned jw nurses, paramedics, and others who were instructed verbally on this new policy, but which contradicted existing written policy that had been in effect for many decades.. in addition to letters from witness medical professionals, circuit overseers in the field wrote to the us branch and hospital information desk in new york about the problems caused by this unreleased policy.
for example, south carolina circuit overseer brandon roberts reported to headquarters that "the majority of the nurses in our circuit were not aware of this updated policy.

What a mess.
During the pandemic the GB also told UK JWs that they could begin writing letters to the public, but didn’t put it in writing—not even in a confidential letter, only verbally.
They seem to like changing policies through low key channels now, while leaving as little as possible in writing.
It’s a bad idea all round from the point of view of spreading confusion and lack of trust among medical JWs and non JWs medics alike.
It’s best explained as a result of deliberations from GB members who really do believe themselves to be conduits from God, because it makes no sense from a practical or strategic perspective.

Good.
Possibly we’ve seen the last JW video from him already, because if the money stops, he’ll drop it instantly. Because he cares about the work and his legacy, of course.
It should be a slam dunk case, because his Patreon page explicitly said “all” the funds went toward keep the channel going, whereas his later statements claimed he could do what he likes with his own money, including the activities he detailed. If Patreon don’t take action on that they surely lose credibility.

Maybe he’ll give up soon. It must be pretty miserable making videos on your own, with nobody willing work with you, only getting half the money you used to get, and continuing to lose support every day. I get the sense he resents making videos on topics he’s not really interested in any longer, for people he doesn’t really like. It would be pretty hard for him to push through that, especially when he thinks he’s entitled to the amount of money he used to get. The quality will go down, his enthusiasm with go down, and his support will go down, in a reenforcing spiral.
now, many years later, i remember the 1995 generation change, very well.. since early youth, hearing my father explaining in field service the 2520 years.
it was his main theme in the field.. with the change my doubts started.
with some jw friends we did not trust the organization anymore.
That’s a odd reading, because the whole point of Revelation 7 seems to be that the great crowd are those who survive through the great tribulation. But it does fit with a pattern of Watchtower interpretations along the lines of “the text says x, but how do we know the text doesn’t really mean x”.

Prospective in the sense that, if the Great Tribulation were to occur today, they are among those who hope to be judged worthy to be among the Great Crowd. In this sense they are defined in contrast to prospective members of the 144,000 and against those non believers who have no conception of being saved by Jehovah at all.
Non anointed believers in 1935 were “prospective members” of the Great Crowd in that that was their hope, just as non anointed believers today share that hope. Whether any “prospective members” of the Great Crowd alive today will live to become part of the actual Great Crowd of prophecy remains to be seen.

Thanks TD. When carefully explaining the position of non anointed JWs, Watchtower has used the term “prospective members” of the great crowd, meaning that non anointed believers in 1935, and since, are “in line” to be part of the great crowd. In that sense Jehovah’s Witnesses can still say that non anointed believers in 1935, as today, were “prospective members” of the “great crowd”. But who finally make up the “great crowd” will only be determined by who is alive and faithful at the end of the Great Tribulation.
“Let Your Kingdom Come”, said
You may enjoy a grand privilege today in thus ‘rendering sacred service day and night before the throne of God.’ At the same time you place yourself in line to be one of the “great crowd” that will inherit everlasting life on an earth made glorious. (Revelation 7:9-17) But first the Kingdom must “come” to fight Armageddon’s war! What will Armageddon mean for mankind and our earth?
And the Proclaimers book
Particularly beginning in the 1930’s, prospective members of the “great multitude,” or “great crowd” of other sheep, began to manifest themselves. (Rev. 7:9, 10, KJ; John 10:16) These were at that time referred to as Jonadabs.

Ha! Great. I wish I knew how to make those videos.
Hail the Lloydocracy ever decreasing
Wondrous contraction is now taking place
News of his scandal now spreads without ceasing
By those who balk at his bare faced disgrace
Boldly warn those who are Lloyd’s name defaming
Tell all such men litigation is nigh
And all the while zealously keep proclaiming
New YouTube channels to meek ones who sigh

karl klien life story from the watchtower.. "president rutherford had repeated occasions to reprove me for breaking some rule.
(under president knorr 1950) brother knorr invited me to join the writing department...when i told him it did not matter where i served he reproved me..saying when an added privilege is offered we should be eager to accept it...my attitude was due to my health which has always been a problem.
knorr was older we were like brothers with the older brother knorr prone to expressing inpatients to my short comings.
Marbles it is the same book. Escape from Freedom is the US title and The Fear of Freedom is the UK title. Yes it is about the attraction of totalitarian systems that absolve people from making difficult choices themselves.
