  I assume she was a witness? Was there a congregation she attended?

  How could she drop off the face of Earth and no one know anything about her?

  well with all the new light threads i started to wonder, is there even one example in the bible of new light?

  i've looked and looked but it seems that i can't find anything.

  i know certain principles or guidelines were expounded on from the ot to the nt, but you don't hear jesus or the apostles saying adultry is: ok, forbidden, ok, forbidden, etc.. besides the vague scripture the jw's pull out of psalms (i think) on new light are there any other bible examples?

  In order to have new light you need old light. This is admitting that what you once held to be a truth was a falsehood.

  Good point,

  I'm suprised the JW,s haven't started calling "new light" " brighter light".

  If only Jehovah would have installed regular switches instead of those darn dimmer switches.

  nebuchadnezzar's dream of a great tree .. they knew the length of the seven times .. they knew the year when israel 's last king reigned .. they knew daniel's interpretation and .

  Even if you could find an example of new light in the bible it would be god changing his own laws.

  It wouldn't be a religion making up laws and then changing them.

  I just thought of some new light god God instituting monogamy then allowing polygamy and then not allowing polygamy.

  That's crazy when you really think about it, Solomon 900+ women, what the heck! Imagine what was going on in his bedroom! WOW

  How my mind has become more troubled .....

  well our fade seemed to be going along pretty smoothly even with the slight hitch of having to attend the memorial .

  then this weekend good old mother in law who lives a thousand miles away , and talks to us once every few months , called, on speaker phone no less .

  i know she has informats here and she has been dropping hints for months that she knows something is up , but she never comes out and just asks .

  Just do what politicians do deny, side step, change the subject, stonewall, be indecisive, say I'm thinking about things . As the years go by they kind of just give up (mostly).

  I have faded about 8 years now, I think one thing that helped me is not going to the memorial or assembly or any thing that makes them think they can help you. out of sight out of mind.

  I like to say to "worldly people" I'm a non practicing JW.

  Why can't i ask questions?

  in the first chapter of the book " what does the bible really teach " students are encouraged to be humble and ask questions until they find satisfying answers.

  why then, did no one reveal to me the history of the wtbts before i became a baptized publisher?

  why do we encourage those of other faiths to look into their religion objectivley and yet we are not allowed to do the same of ours?

  This is for people who are not already witnesses.

  I'll never forget how I would ask a question, like it was a question I heard in field service because I was too scared to let JW,s know it was really my question.

  Giving a Talk on JW's

  i have been asked to give a talk on the jw's, about 30-45 mins long.. but there is so much i would like to say that it could end up being either very long or boring or both.

  if you had to give a talk about jw's to a group of people who really had no idea about jw beliefs and culture.

  what would you included ?.

  Satan Helps Dubs Look Bad

  we've recently started to get visits from varying pairs of dubs.

  i've been pretty harsh with some in the past and told them to mark me down at the hall as a "do not return", but this has not worked.

  a couple of new sisters called on me yesterday morning, so i carefully steered them towards the blood issue.

  Yes, as my mom would say; Don't you know Satan already has all the worldly people, the people in christendom. That's why it's so hard for us as witnesses because Satan is concentrating all his efforts on us.

  Poor witnesses they're the only people on earth able to succesfully stand up to Satan.

  Ohhh the persecution ! That's why we have so many problems!
