  ok, i am seriously seriously livid right now, yet so terribly proud of my seven year old.

  my girls who are seven and nine are grieving their great grandmother on their father's side, lovely woman.

  I think you are in dangerous ground here. For starters she will never stop telling your kids about WT crap. I was brought up in the truth untill I was 9 years( not very strongly) but it NEVER left me or my sisters..............once it gets a hold of you its very difficult to shake of the superstitions and fear of the big A....................I never stopped believing and then when I was 26, there was a knock at my door.

  Twenty years later im just finding out that it was all rubbish. Dont let your kids be part of this......you need to deprogramme them NOW.

  You need to tell them its not true...........its not what the bible teaches...........you must do it strongly today.

  You can even tell them that granny is wrong !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  So, your in a foreign language congregation? Has it been going for long or is it a recently set up cong? I know foreign language congregations are springing up all over the place in the UK, Chinese , Punjabi and so forth...And just recently Polish !!!!

  I can quite imagine a few of you getting together and discussing "red flags"

  Can I ask if you have been brought up in the org or are converts ?????????????? And how long have you been in the org???????

  Actually I always used the phrase "on the, or in the ministry" when I was in. It may be a UK term.

  I used to think it strange when our US friends talk about "4 door cars" this was never an issue in the UK. I hope he hasnt been run off this site.

  i was dfed at 22 for sleeping with an 18yr old girl in my cong.

  i was married and me and my "mistress" were both dfed.. i admit i was wrong by even the worlds standards.

  What they mean by the adulterous relationship has me concerned, once adultry has been commited and you don't sleep with youre' wife again after it, that means she has not taken you back so you are free to divorce and remarry. If you and youre x wife slept together after the adultry her being fully aware of the adultry and she willfully slept with you, she then forgives and takes you back as her husband, scriptually if you married the other women you are in an adulterous marraige.

  This is typical WT crappy reasoning.....................its got nothing to do with scripture !!!!

  Oh im going to hate this admission but.....................I watched the exorcised and it scared me so much I asked my mum for a bible( yep the old green one) im sure this was the start of me getting back involved with the JWs again.

  I had been brought up a witness till I was 9 (so I was already damaged) ..............then when my baby was 2 and I had post natal depression I started a study, because I was terrified with the big A. but this film really brought back all the fear of the demons and in turn all the superstition of the JWs.

  When ever I see someone driving really badly, Ive discovered they are using a cell phone. Their speed suddenly goes down, then they start to weave, I start thinking what the hell are they doing then, I see them on the phone. I get so mad !!!!!!!!!

  Im glad its treated as a crime, it should be.......................if anyone needs to use the phone whilst driving get a hands free.

  I notice a big difference in attitude with the US, Canadian and UK posters.....................it was the same with the alcohol thread.

  I understand where the law is coming from. It really irritates me watching people trying to navigate traffic while talking on the cell phone.
  
  But ... I agree with Minimus. This type of law isn't the answer. Even the legal alcohol limits are wrong. If you drive while drunk and kill someone you should be charged with first degree murder, because you've knowingly endangered people's lives. But if you can drink a few glasses of wine with dinner and still drive safe, fine. The same with cell phone use, or putting on makeup, or fiddling with the radio, or myriads of other things that potentially makes someone an unsafe driver.

  That is the most bazar statement ive ever heard.......................dont you know the more you drinkl the more you think you can drive safely

  I live in a country now where you cannot drink and drive AT ALL. Wheres the hardship?????

  They were talking on sky news today about the "evidence" being contaminated.

  The mother does look a bit cold but, .......................does that means she killed her?? Hard evidence is what we need, not "feelings"

  When the truth is revealed it doesnt take long for a complete turnaround. With me it was quite instantaneous, I cant believe how my life has changed.

  We all have our ups and downs, when trying to get out of the org ( and still do ) but 3 years on, I cant believe how paralysing it all was.
