JoinedI was baptized a JW in 1989. I was 14 yrs old. I married a JW at 19 (he was 24) who promptly stopped attending meetings and started questioning "the truth". He was very abusive. At 26 I divorced him and became an ex-JW. At 29 I am engaged to a wonderful man. My parents, brother, and sister still talk to me, but I have been shunned by the rest. Even though I have "faded away" word gets around. I am, however, more free and happy (despite the hardship w/ my family) than I have ever been.
