Also, disclosure of the documents crosses state lines involving privacy laws of other states which could be violated, and, the information goes back in time, decades in the past, when present privacy laws did not apply. So, is a blanket State Court order covering every state, and time periods not governed by present laws, legal?

Remember how there was always someone sitting nearby and you couldn't help but notice that almost their entire Bible was highlighted in yellow?
I remember that! I also saw different ones in the KH and at assemblies highlighting verses as scriptures were read so I figured, when I saw pages and pages of the Bible highlighted that that person had read those verses or studied them.

Because it might contain names including prominent JW leaders.
If that was actually the case, do you really think that such a person would be put in or included in such a list? There's is no mandate to put anybody on that list, only according to church workings.

holding onto that kind of information sure gives somebody a lot of control.
Dies not hinge on a written record. Knowledge is enough.

In the prison system if you are in jail for pedophile they call you Short Eyes....& they deal with you...& it's not pretty, they just may kill you....even a murderer looks down on a pedo's...what's that saying about us ?
It is very easy for law enforcement, prosecutors, child welfare agencies to put anyone in jail or to kill them, or to destroy a person's good name, too bad if the person just happens to be innocent, the gov enjoys immunity.

think the list should be turned over to an independent investigative body to be evaluated for possible criminal proceedings against known pedophiles in the database.
In the US, doing that could violate the constitution and Federal law.

It's what they do once the abuse is reported which is the problem. In many locations, even allegations of abuse are to be reported to authorities.
Conflicting laws don't make it any easier. And if anyone actually cared about children, they could lobby the government and at least attempt to get laws changed.
