Left the org in June 2003. I Was an elder for 8 yrs, and served as service overseer for 7 years. I pioneered for 13 yrs. I realized that the org did not hold the 'truth' for countless reasons.In addition I also witnessed coverups going on that protected popular elders when they commited wrong. I had to speak up about this, which did not make me very popular. I eventually left the org 10 months ago. It was hard leaving as my family and friends are still very active members. I am not currently disfellowshiped or disasociated, yet most of my ex 'friends' treat me as such!! However, I am pleased to be out. BB
