  here is an idea i tested.

  works at both assemblies and conventions.

  i have noticed at the last convention and at my last assembly that when i opened up my wifi setting, tons of hotspots came up for people tethering their tablets to their smart phones.

However, a number of the surrounding congregations have been/are having their Circuit Assemblies the past few and coming weeks. It seems that on a number of recent weekends, the friends tablets and phones have picked up wi-fi hotspot signals which use names composed of the URL of various apostate websites, or offer open wi-fi signals with innocuous names, but that route the user to an apostate website once they join the wi-fi network.
  The Natick Assembly hall has notoriously bad cell phone reception, so many of the friends will often look for an open wi-fi signal to check something on JW.org, download the WT, etc.
  It's like the sign-carrying protesters of old have figured out a way to carry their signs inside the session, and as of now, we can't stop them or the poisonous message they carry. :angry:

  Did Ray Franz manage to live out a comfortable retirement from the proceeds of his books.

  i'm just curious if anybody knows.

  firstly i don't take issue with the man making money from his books and if he was able to live comfortably from it then i say power to him.

  but what i'm wanting to know was just how successful was it and did it allow him to live out the remainder of his years in comfort e.g buy a house, eat good food etc.

  yes, last week the number of bethel layoffs was confirmed from 90 to 125. .

  and those going in thinking they may be there for some time have been told.

  that they may be there for two months rather than 3 years depending on .

  years ago i remember there being a number of sites with pretty extensive archives of watchtower publications online.

  can anyone direct me to the best current site for this material?

  in particular i am looking for a booklet from 1898 called "the bible vs. the theory of evolution".
