Greek Interlinears

  I've been doing some study with Greek Interlinears. I currently own the Emphatic Diaglot which was put together by Benjamin Wilson and the KIT (which is the Westcott and Hort text).

  I would like to get a newer interlinear(s). I've seen the Nestle-Aland 26th edition text online for purchase. Is this a good interlinear to buy?

  I want an interlinear that takes advantage of the newest finds in manuscripts, especially since the Westcott & Hort text of the NWT.

  Any suggestions?

  Nestle-Aland is not an interlinear but the standard Greek-only edition. And there is a 27th edition (some changes in the critical apparatus, not in the text).

  Don't know about Greek-English Interlinears. No doubt there must be one around with the current Nestle-Aland Greek main text (which is, btw, the same as the UBS Greek New Testament, 3rd or 4th edition: only the critical apparatus differs).

  Yes, of course you are right. I wasn't clear.

  It appears that quite a few of the modern translations are from the NA or UBS text. If I remember correctly Westcott and Hort worked on the NKJV and the subsequent american version.

  Is there a greek-english interlinear(s) that use the current NA 27th edition that has good background and manuscript information?

  I feel that I don't want a Textus Receptus greek-english interlinear because I want to take advantage of newer archaelogical finds. Is that correct? or am I making a mistake?

  Yes there is. The NET Bible has a Greek-English Diglot with extensive notes and appendices using the Nestle-Aland 27th Edition Greek text.

  I have a copy of Jay Green's interlinear of the Bible. I would recommend it to anybody. Jay Green is open about his reason for the choice of the Schrivener version of the recieved text for the Greek portion of the Bible (it is very trinitarian friendly), so at least you know where he stands. The Hebrew text is the Masoretic text. Mr. Green includes the Strong's number of each word above each Greek and Hebrew word, facilitating personal reasearch on the word meanings for the reader. Although I have both the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia (1984 ed.) and the Majority Text (Hodges and Farstad 2nd. ed.), I still find myself consulting Green's interlinear regularly.

  The NIV Interlinear Hebrew English Old Testament (1985) by John Kohlenberger; Hebrew from Biblia Hebraica Stuttgart (BHS); English word meanings from NIV; NIV in margin

  I have this - It's expensive but well worth the investment if you really want to study the Hebrew.

  My Greek NT is an older Marshall - Nestle (21) with NRSV and NIV in the margins, again I recommend this - in the updated version you listed of course!
