Katrina Takes a Toll on Truth, News Accuracy

This is not the only report I've seen like this come out on review of the actual events. There has been very little corroborated evidence of much of the media-reported events rumored to have happened. Reports of "hundreds of bodies" in the convention center turn out to be fewer than ten.

    Shame on America indeed.

I never heard there were "hundreds of bodies." "Fewer than 10" is still not needed in the richest country and so-called best country on earth. What the LAT says and you agree with is not the point--when the head of FEMA said he didn't know people were at the convention center and didn't know what was happening at the Super Dome. Oh, and did you know this guy is now (although resigned) one of the people manning the investigation into what he helped to f*ck up??

    And your point is?

It's not the media's fault. Not everyone or anyone that I know of in the media said there were 100s dead at the civic center....so, my point is the oppisite of what you stated...I've seen no exaggerration.
