    Marigolds

    --------------------------------------------------
    Sometimes sitting silently
thoughts of you slip softly through my mind,
like sounds of summer evenings shared –
the caress of your voice and the wind through the pines.
    --------------------------------------------------
    Embraces shared without a word
    while moonlight bathed our souls,
linger with me through the years –
a pressed red rose between lines of prose.
    --------------------------------------------------
The birds still sing down by the lake
    like so many years ago,
but a touch of sadness fills their songs –
    somehow they seem to know.
    --------------------------------------------------
Since your beauty left this world
    the warmth of summer's glow,
lies hidden with the marigolds –
    beneath the winter snow.
    --------------------------------------------------

    Hello AhHah,

This, as is your others, is a lovely poem. You're right in your thinking of entering it in the Poetry Site, which address is listed on another thread.

You and Frenchy are going to get along marvelously.

This is a pretty, mellow, picture show. Thank you.
