What's a Kingdom Hall buddy? It's someone who you only see at the hall, and never anywhere else, yet somehow you manage to have a very limited "friendship" with.
I have a few Kingdom hall buddies, we never meet socially, but they're always ready to have small talk with you.
Yes, I am very familiar with these types of buddies.
Years ago before I had all the answers and I got so depressed I realized these people were not really friends. You could not have any deep conversation with most of them - or else you did so at your own risk. You couldn't tell them what was bothering you. It wasn't that they weren't nice, it is just that they were like a hologram on the wall. Not really there at all.
Hell, in 20 years as a JW that's all I had except for one guy I used to go drinking with. Of course, our wives eventually put a stop to that!

No. I'd rather sit on my own with my family then engage in "friendship" with someone who's just there to show some teeth and kiss the PO's arse, seeking a promotion. You're not getting a promo on my dime buddy!
