There are many areas in North America that have a payroll deduction campaign with the United Way.
You can direct that a portion or 100% of your donation be forwarded to a particular registered charity. The number indicated in the originating post is the United Way number assigned to the JW's for when someone would direct that their donation be sent to the WTBS.

Is there anyone with accurate information on this. The Watchtower could create an account within the United Way Fund to get a number for employees that do not wish to donate directly to any of the United Way groups to donate directly to WT. Question. Does the UW keep any of the donated funds for their own administrative costs. Even if it is a penny per dollar or penny per five. I don't believe the UW would provide money laundering services for the WT for free.

On the click "here" portion you are taken to the page with the WTBTS on the list. Since when are they a charity? They ONLY preach to those who do not want them there and they help their own BEFORE they help others. They are a pathetic group that tries for all the money they can get, from getting on list's like UW to begging old people to put their homes/savings in their wills made out to them. They are pathetic!
The guy from UW could be right in thinking that they don't fund the JW's. We give to UW every year and we choose which charities it goes for. Maybe no one chooses them?
