This is obviously a ploy...JWs I know will accept blood tests and it is officially allowed. Must be a personal aberration like some JWs who will still not accept vaccinations. I wonder what the scriptural reasoning is behind urine tests? :)
*** w78 6/15 30 Questions from Readers *** Would it be wrong to submit to a blood test? Based on their knowledge of the Scriptures, most of Jehovah’s Witnesses, if not all, do not object to such tests. The small quantity of blood removed from the body is not eaten or injected into someone else. It is merely examined or tested before being disposed of.—Deut. 15:23.

I always said JWs aren't the smartest ones, and these idiots are among the typical JWs - using their religion to avoid problems.
For an athlete, it's cool to refuse a bloodtest because of religion. I can hear the screams of "persecution" if they were to be forced - and all the idiotic assholes in different religious clubs who would support them.
I'll try that the next time the police asks for a blood-sample. LOL
