A quick slip-of-the-tongue story from our weekly departmental meeting at work. Talking about requesting down time on the production servers in order to make changes to our live websites, he said:
"They will examine your information minutely, and if you don't have everything documented, if you can't explain why each step is needed, they will eat you alive. So you'd better have all your tees dotted and eyes crossed."
He kept right on talking... never even realized what he'd said.
