Hard to find, rare and out of print movies

It is amazing why some movies are so hard to get to rent or buy in vhs or dvd. There are some old movies I collect and like to watch but when you look for them they are out of print and most of the copies on sale online are so high and you wonder if they will ever be re-released. Some of the movies are not even that old. I wanted to watch "Ticket To Heaven" again as I haven't seen it since 1981 or 1982 and I want to see how I would see it now this many years later but I got it online somewhere for $7 where it was going for $80 or $50 for DVD copies of it.

I also would like to see the miniseries "Rich Man Poor Man" again from the 70s but it has been out of print for years and the series goes for $100+ online. Anybody else have movies that they had to really seach to get a copy of?

I had to tape some off TV cuz I didn't want to pay so much for a collector's item. Madame X with Lana Turner was one of those movies. That was one of her greatest roles! Great movie, but out of print.
