Do you know of any song titles or lyrics that could be humorously or not so humourously applied to the WTS and the JWs in general.

For example Madonna's "Papa don't preach" can be applied to the Governing Body for their hypocrisy.

Jennifer Lopez from the song "Ain't it funny":

"Ain't it strange when you are feeling things you shouldn't feel"

For exJWs having mixed feelings about the org.

Everybody's fool By Evanescence (relate to fooling people)

    "perfect by nature
    icons of self indulgence
    just what we all need
more lies about a world that

never was and never will be
have you no shame don't you see me
you know you've got everybody fooled

    look here she comes now
bow down and stare in wonder
    oh how we love you
    no flaws when you're pretending
    but now i know she

never was and never will be
you don't know how you've betrayed me
and somehow you've got everybody fooled

without the mask where will you hide
can't find yourself lost in your lie

    i know the truth now
    i know who you are
and i don't love you anymore

it never was and never will be
you don't know how you've betrayed me
and somehow you've got everybody fooled

it never was and never will be
you're not real and you can't save me
    somehow now you're everybody's fool"

Missing by Evanescence (relating to shunning and disfellowship)

    Please, please forgive me,
But I won't be home again.
    Maybe someday you'll look up,
And, barely conscious, you'll say to no one:
    "Isn't something missing?"

You won't cry for my absence, I know -
    You forgot me long ago.
    Am I that unimportant...?
    Am I so insignificant...?
    Isn't something missing?
    Isn't someone missing me?

    [Chorus:]
    Even though I'm the sacrifice,
You won't try for me, not now.
Though I'd die to know you love me,
    I'm all alone.
    Isn't someone missing me?

    Please, please forgive me,
But I won't be home again.
I know what you do to yourself,
I breathe deep and cry out,
    "Isn't something missing?
    Isn't someone missing me?"

    [Chorus]

And if I bleed, I'll bleed,
    Knowing you don't care.
And if I sleep just to dream of you
    I'll wake without you there,
    Isn't something missing?
    Isn't something...

Ok I can come up with a long list of evanescence music relating to Jehovah's witness!

I think all of them could, or jsut sections of some of their songs! do me a favour and go to this site http://www.azlyrics.com/e/evanescence.html

You'll find that probebly all of them could quite easily relate!

Also "Left outside alone" by Anastacia could probebly relate

"Boulevard of broken dreams" by Greenday

    "Broken" Seether featuring Amy Lee

    The list goes on.......
