this thread reminded me of when they asked me the questions so that i could be an unbaptized publisher. i was like 9 years old at the time. so they got to the part about drugs and alcohol. the elder asked me, '' do you partake of alcoholic beverages on a regular basis?'' or something to that degree. i said, '' yes.''
< 2 elders and my mom....lol
so one of the elders stammered...''wh-what? '' then he looked over at my mom and she looked like she wanted to cry. see.....she had to explain to them that she sometimes let me have sips of her beer. so lucky for her, they thought it was cute and just let it roll.....
i never got anymore beer after that....go figure...
