Silent Lambs on Aussie TV program

Just thought I'd send a link to a transcript of a Sunday program on Channel 9 that aired on Australia yesterday morning. It was a great tribute to the plight of numerous silent lambs who have fallen victim to the failed policies of the WTBTS. It was a good investigative journalism piece, and also touched on the high level of indoctrination that followers are subject to.

whoops! seems I'm a bit slow. It did occur to me that perhaps others had gotten in before me, but didn't have time to check...oh well at least this way it's been well and truly covered! frog

Crazy isn't it. One of my uncles through marriage was an elder, and is now in prison for having sex with a biblestudy's fourteen year old daughter. The congregation actually tried to defend him in court! Yuck.

I saw that show sunday morning! it was very interesting, that afternoon i already posted about it, but without the link cause I didn't know about the website.

I feel sorry for the poor people who got abused, Frog did you watch the program or just saw the website?

The Sunday news literally called their meetings "brainwashing" I thought that was rather funny!

The elder suggested the people see a counsellor outside the org (he was bacially cornered!) But I though Jw's wern't allowed to do that!

I think the point has been made here and thanks for emphasising it.

It's important to remember that no one organisation "owns" an issue; downunder we've 'paddled our own canoe' so to speak, we have our own circles and so on as is evidenced by the fact of two excellent programs on Australia's major? TV network. More to come too, no doubt.

It's very encouraging to see so many from the land down under posting on the many threads this weekend about this program.
