We got a visit from a JW today.

Funny though, they showed up at the place we just moved from! It is an apartment building with a front door buzzer that goes through the phone system and it hadn't been changed yet so they got us at the new house.

This woman (a pioneer) who showed up told Mrs. Kwin in November that she would stop by every two weeks to bring the WT and Asleep! mags. This is the first time that she's come by since then. Not even around the time of the memorial!

Anyway, she started giving me her cell phone number for my wife to call her and I said, "To be honest with you, she won't call you back. We don't consider ourselves to be Jehovah's Witnesses anymore and don't agree with several of their doctrines."

"Well, I just want to keep the door open." she replys.

She asked where we moved to and I said the other side of town. Made sure she knew we left the territory, so were no longer in their jursidicion, but didn't let her know where we moved to.

How long before we hear from them next?

Surely, this will go back to the fam. Hmm, it's interesting it just happened, now that you've moved ... they (congo) wouldn't be trying to keep track of you, would they? Not to be paranoid or anything.

Hey Tal! Guess what? My sister got here for a visit! She flew in on Saturday! We'll have you over for supper so you can meet her. She's here for 3 weeks anyway!

If they want to know where we live, all they have to do is call my parents, I'm sure!

Tsk tsk. That is no way for her to treat this URGENT, LIFE SAVING MESSAGE.

I'd say a Judicial Committee is probably being formed as this is being written ........thank god you never told her where you're moving to or they'd never stop bugging you!

Quotes: That's the same realization I came to before I left. If you analyze the behavior of the average dub, it's clear that very few, almost none, really, have that sense of urgency anymore. They are just going thru the motions, hoping all the years they invested will have some kind of payoff at the end, but not entirely clear what it will be.
