How do I add icon picture?

Hi--I can't seem to add a little picture like the rest of you have and I'm feeling left out. Can someone tell me step-by-step how to do it? I tried using ClipArt but I can't get it to work. Help!

Size matters. Avatar works if it's 45 pixels(width) 0.625 inches/ 35 pixels (Height) 0.486 inches.
Go to Profile/ check upload picture from computer (wherever your picture is stored)
Wait awhile for your avatar to show up. May take a little while. Hope that works for you.

Dang! Tried up grading mine but it won't accept a jpg from my computer....

It took me a couple of days, then it suddenly appeared just when I thought I'd done something wrong. It may arrive before Armageddon.
