I benefitted enormously from reading RVF's book a few years ago, though I missed it not having a scripture index.

So I prepared one for my own use, and recently realised others may also find it useful. It's a Word file, 235 Kb.

If anyone's interested, I can either email it to you (pm me with your address), or if someone has some web space to spare, I'll copy it over and anyone can download it.

That's awesome.....you should send it to Ray... in case there ever might be a second edition (who knows), it might be of use....

I mentioned it to him a year or so ago, but he wasn't bothered.

Maybe he'd already done one, he didn't say, and we just carried on discussing other things...

Wow. I'm so jealous of individuals who have actually talked or corresponded with Ray. His books helped my mental health immeasurably. Things that I 'felt' or 'thought' but just didn't know how to put into words or couldn't find the right WT quotes to back up were all in his books for me. He really helped my mindset and made me realize that I wasn't crazy for thinking the way I did. Mostly I appreciate the tone of his books because I can recommend someone reading them knowing it's not an angry apostate rant - but rather a logical, friendly, easy going discussion with some hard hitting truths.

    TheListener,

Yes, with his writings he's probably helped more than we'll ever know.

Looks like Ray has already come out with a second edition this January (2007): http://www.amazon.co.uk/Search-Christian-Freedom-Raymond-Franz/dp/0914675176/ref=sr_1_4/202-6604334-7553415?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1176705403&sr=1-4 It has 754 pages versus 732 in the 1992 edition. It will be interesting to see what he has added. Hopefully the new information is more substantial than the mere 22 extra pages at first suggest. His revisions of CofC were substantial, so maybe there is some good new information in the new edition of In Search of Christian Freedom also. Slim

I just noticed this thread is over 2 years old.

Has there been a thread on the new edition yet?
