Maternal Instinct

It is often thought that a mother has an instinct to protect her child. So much so that she may become extremely violent when faced with a situation that may damage her chidren.

This is not just anger but a deep instinctive emotion, that is stronger in women than men.

Why? If we were created perfect, with no danger around us. If our children would not be harmed by animals, disease, war, etc. Then where did this instinct come from? Why would a God give women this if they did not need it?

It is a brilliant question and one that I am sure creationist will struggle to answer -sure as hell proves to me that the human race is older than 6000 years
