Yesterday afternoon, a couple of my girl friends and I went to see this movie. Yes, it was a cute movie about the man who wrote Peter Pan, but I will admit that Johnny Depp was a strong motivator to give up our Sunday naps.

Has anyone seen this movie? I LOVED IT! It was funny and silly and dramatic and tearful and I loved it! Again, Johnny Depp shows some wonderful acting and had a lovely accent. Although I couldn't place the accent...Irish or Scottish??? Apologies to Little Toe as I don't have an ear for accents or where they come from.

Also would recommend "Million Dollar Baby." Very well done.

I've heard of Million Dollar Baby. Although I did hear it was pretty heavy. I might have to be in a "mood" to take that one. I must say that "Finding Neverland" was not really what I thought it would be. It was more. Funny, poignant, sad, funny. Take a hanky. But it is not a chickflick.

Heard from a friend who saw it that it was very far from accurate. Apparently both the mother and father of the children were both alive, married and caring for their children. The kids meet this guy in the park. The guy becomes very friendly with the kids. He was also very friendly with other kids. When the family goes on vacation, this author comes along. Not as a companion to either parent, but as a companion to the kids.

The history seem to lean towards the fact that this guy could have been a child molestor. Both of the boys in the story committed suicide later in life.

Instead, from what I gather, he is portrayed as filling an emotional need for a family, when instead he was probably fulfilling some sick emotional need of his own. Hmmm..., and Michael Jackson calls his ranch what? Neverland?

That is vaguely familiar to me too. I think I've heard that before.
