    The Mormon church is producing a film on the life of Joseph Smith, the faith's founder who claimed to have found a set of new Christian scriptures in 1820 that built a foundation for the world's fastest growing religion.

    I saw a DVD at Blockbuster recently that looked like it was a Mormon informercial, *puke*

    I think the Momo's are even more in love with their "organization" than JW's are.

    I'd disagree.

    I don't see any cult-like activity in the mormon church, and I attended for quite some time and studied with the missionaries (off and on) for quite a few years (more than a decade).

    That's very true.

    I still don't have a problem with them though. Rev

    I'd also like to note:

    If it's true that there is a God and if it's true that Jesus existed, and if it's true that he was the messiah, then it could be said that his following was a cult.

    He expected certain things from his disciples, things we'd point out as 'mind controlling'.

    Just a thought.

    hmmmm.... The first century Christians were pointed fingers at and known as a "cult" by the pious Jews and Romans.

    "Cult" = someone elses religion
