Why, you might ask, did I list the "Judge's" books and booklets?

To show the vast output of material bearing his name.

In some years he wrote over a 1000 pages of material.

Some have said he had ghostwriters to help him, Fred Franz being one of them.

The question is, did Rutherford truly believe what he wrote? or was he a con man 100 per cent through and through?

Yes, he was a rather prolific writer, supposedly dispensing "meat in due season."

Just think. None of these works are now recommended reading by the Watchtower Society.! None of Russell's works are recommended reading. And if the Watchtower continues another 50 years, none of today's writings will be recommended. What a waste of paper and ink! Come on JWs, wake up and smell the flowers.

VM44, I'll wager a nickle right now that RR has every one of those notorious publications.

Kenneson, you are RIGHT ON, man! I wonder if it ever occurs to the folks on the writing staff that their "glorious truths" will be the apostasy of tomorrow? What a bunch of jokers!

    vm44,

Ah, yes. A bibliography of idiocy.

Just as Hitler believed he was doing the "right" thing by exterminating nearly an entire race/culture, I believe that Rutherford believed he was doing the "right" thing by spouting crap that ruined the lives of countless of his followers.

    Sociopaths are like that.

If one is charasmatic enough to get people to believe your every utterance, the temptation to believe it yourself is quite seductive. This happened with Russell, Rutherford, and Fred Franz. Not to mention Hitler, Mussolini, Mao Tse Tung, Sadaam Hussein and John Kerry (sorry 'bout that little slam, John)

On the other hand, Professor Ed Gruss has stated that Rutherford was a broken man after 1925 as was Nathan Knorr after 1975. Instead of admitting their mistakes like decent humans, they put on pretences and "played their role", so to speak and continued to rationalize their screw ups and pretend they had all the answers.

Their judgments (if there ARE any judgments) will be harsh indeed.
