Hi, from what I've read in the TV pages I don't think the religion is actually specified, but I'd guess that any cult escapee will identify with Karen.

Well I watched it tonight, and she said she had to go door knocking, n wasnt allowed to play out in case anyone lead her astray, couldnt do anything, watch things on telly....it all sounded sooooooooooo so familiar!
