  or has it? proplog stated he/she? wont post his/her 1000th post till it begins...or was it that no posts till a profound statement could be made about it?

  i forget..

  anyway it got me thinking about the big T... is it gonna be as easy to see as the second coming of christ was in 1914? or will it be as easy to see as the 'light' on the generation that wont die out that see's his coming and proclaims it? MAYBE it will be really hard to see and recognize like the reasons why the wts joined the UN as a NGO...

  any comments? profound or not

  The phrase is drawn from context and capitalized to make it appear to be a specific era distinct from the description of oppression in the surrounding verses. The great tribulation WAS the vanquishing of Jewish rebels in Jerusalem by the Romans. The hoped for apocalyptic reversal at the hands of Jesus failed to happen.

  Well as long as we are talking about the great tribulation here is another view to consider. The Great Tribulation is the same period in mans history as the Gentile Times or appointed times of the Nations. All such expressions mean the same thing.

  They began when sin entered into the world and end at our Lord's coming back to earth to establish His Kingdom here. It is out of this great tribulation that resurrected mankind will be chosen to live in this kingdom.

  We can discuss all of it or part of it in a text but this does not change this reality. Perhaps this is why so many views exist concerning such times.
