My friend who is still a dub, called me this morning from out of state. She and her husband went to the DC in Amarillo this year, with relatives. She said it was all the same old same old, but with more attention on apostates. She said she took lots of notes for me. The one thing that stood out for her was that they kept emphasizing that the end is so close!! Then they announced the new TM book, which will be released in 2002 to be used in 2003. So, what about the end coming? She was confused and so was her elder hubby. She said he was on the internet this morning, buying more for his investments, shoring up the retirement fund. She even thought that was funny. 42 baptized, a new record low I'll bet.
She said it was an unbelievable bore. No, I believe it.
