In Miramar, Florida on Monday evening, Yvonne McCalla attended a meeting at the Kingdom Hall. She returned home and was later found murdered. Police are not giving out any details at the moment. Another senseless tragedy!

I'd really like to know what they find out happened here.
Sounds like she was probably a very nice woman. I see they are offering $1000 reward for any information.
It may not have really been connected to the J.W.'s at all. Random acts of violence do occur.
Sad though. Keep us posted if they find out what really happened to cause this loss of life.

"McCalla was found dead in her home at 8550 N. Sheridan Circle around 10:45 p.m. Monday after leaving a Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witness Hall nearby in unincorporated Broward County, police. said.
But they refused to provide any other details, including how she was killed, whether anything was stolen from the home or whether they think she was followed home from church.
"We're just not ready to get into any specifics at this point, and we won't get into anything detailing the scene or any speculation," said police spokesman Bill Robertson.
Robertson said detectives don't know whether the attack was random or if McCalla was targeted.
He said police have talked with McCalla's ex-husband and "everyone else who had connections to her."
McCalla's daughter was staying with her father's family Monday night and became concerned when she couldn't reach her mother by phone after the church service.
Now the close-knit family is working to comfort the daughter, who was not identified by name.
"It's been very hard for her, of course, because she was very close to her mother," sister Beverly Woolery said."

Miramar is a Suburb just northwest of Ft. Lauderdale. It is not the greatest area to begin with, and on the news one always hears of crimes there. I had 2 cars stolen, and one was found in Miramar. But then again, most of the Ft. Lauderdale metro area has a lot of crime. I am glad to be away from there, after having spent 10 years there.....
