I was listening to Radio 4 earlier, and came across an interesting item.
The English fans are practically the only ones to give the Portuguese police any trouble as far as loutish behaviour, fighting and other forms of violence (although there have been similar incidents with other nations, they are pretty much isolated compared to ours - according to this report, other nation's fans view the English fans with a certain amount of caution and fear)
BUT!!!!!!
The English are the only nation not to have committed any traffic violations! Other nations, particularly the Portuguese themselves, have committed numerous parking and driving violations.
According to a Portuguese police spokesman "The English drive impeccably and park exactly where they are told - we are shocked - we weren't expecting this"
Go figure!
I always said we were an odd lot.
