VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - Cardinal Bernard Law, who was forced to resign as archbishop of Boston over a sexual abuse scandal, was given a new post by Pope John Paul on Thursday.
A Vatican statement said the pope had appointed Law to be the archpriest of the Rome Basilica of St Mary Major, one of the most important churches in the Italian capital.
Yes, a local minister here who is also the religious editor of the major newspaper, pointed this out.
I don't think the RC gets it, nor does the WTS.

That is despicable! Law is old. He should be "retired" and not allowed to officiate ANYWHERE!
I am outraged. Imagine how the sex abuse victims feel right about now...
