It IS spooky, isn't it?
OK, here's the scoop:
I first began associating with the Dubs around 1957 or so when I was a mere child and my mother thought it would be a good idea to destroy her marriage and devote her life (and mine) to a cult, and I walked away in the mid seventies after I had gained enough wisdom to recognize the smell of bulshit (I am a bit slower than most). For all the time that I was associated, Nathan Knorr was the President of the WTB&TS. My avatar is Knorr's portrait from one of the WTS publications. I'm simply giving the Devil his due.
One of the funniest comments I have received about this "alter ego" was from a Yahoo discussion board where a pro-JW poster said that he knew I was Barbara Grizutti Harrison. This was about a week or so after Barbara died, and the comment made me feel even more admiration for Barbara than I already did - I mean, if she was like ME, she must have been pretty cool, right? (Barbara wrote the book "Visions of Glory" and was also no fan of Knorr's.) There must have been something in my WTS bashing invective that reminded that poster of Barbara. Maybe I'm "channeling" her. That would be an honor, except that such things aren't possible.

haha, okay, now i know! maybe i am slow too for only just noticing, i always thought it said nathan nates, then i was just sitting reading things backwards, as i do, and there it was! damn.
