I know "some" about my computer and can do quite a bit. But when things get sticky- I'm clueless.
THANK YOU to all of the JWD resident "techies" who so generously give of their time and knowledge to those of us who need it at times. It is very much appreciated !!

Thanks for starting this thread, XW! Sometimes we don't take the time to express our appreciation to those who always make themselves available in a "technical pinch". They really work wonders for those of us who're "technically challenged", eh?

I'm actually disappointed that so few actually DID respond. In order to btt this thread this morning I had to go back 5 pages to find it only to realize that after the banter between Valis and I- it hadn't been responded to at all.
These "techie" folks know their stuff and they don't have to share it with anyone. On their off-work time they could be doing all sorts of stuff for just themselves and they'd certainly be entititled to that. Instead, they give so freely to those of us who need that type of assistance and then they come back and do it some more. And what if they didn't? I, for one know that I'd probably have to spend some $$ for a professional to fix whatever it is at the time. Yet, I've gotten so much of that free because of the generosity of others. I don't think it's too much to take a MOMENT to thank them for it. Maybe if I put this in the middle of the dating thread and added some stuff about tequila?
Sorry if I sound pissy- just kinda discouraged.

I gotta jump in with a big Thanks also! I would probably still be staring at my blank screen trying to figure out how to turn my computer on if it werent for you guys. My computer crashes, I dont call tech support, I dont open up the manual, I dont go online and try to troubleshoot it myself. Instead I go to the JWD board and ask for help:)
