Should I send this UN test to my family?

Or will it just get me deeper into the shite?

Feel free to stop reading this at any stage.

I have written hundreds of words to try to find a way to explain my feelings about the following.

    They have all been deleted.

I love my family very much and do not wish to lose them because of WTBTS policy and my family's adherance to that.

One thing I am sure of, I will never, never, ever, lose my love for my family due to religious beliefs.

What you are about to read is straight from the WTBTS and I strongly suggest that you should read the quotations directly from the quoted literature if you have it
    available.

It is covering doctrine that has not had any notable changes in, at least, the past 50 years.

Feel free to stop reading this at any stage.

Please pray for guidance before refreshing your memory with the following WTBTS articles.

Please use the original literature if you have it.

Who/what is the Wild Beast of Revelation?
Who/what is the harlot of Revelation?
How can Christians ensure that they do not fornicate with the Wild Beast?

    WT 15 Nov 1954 p679
    TODAY?S OUTSTANDING EFFORT

Revelation chapter 17 foretells this generation?s effort to unify the world through first the League of Nations and thereafter the United Nations, with religion playing
its role. The account says: ?Come, I will show you the judgment upon the great harlot that sits on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth committed
fornication.? The harlot here mentioned is not a literal woman, for no woman has committed fornication with all the rulers of the earth. The harlot represents the false
religious organizations of this world. They have entered politics and curried the favor of politicians and been used by them for selfish purposes, all of which is an
unclean, illicit relationship for any group claiming to be the virgin bride of Christ, espoused to him and hailing him as their King and Ruler.

Next this harlotous woman is seen ?sitting upon a scarlet-colored wild beast that was full of blasphemous names and that had seven heads and ten horns.? Frequently
the Bible uses a beast to symbolize a government, as in Daniel chapter 7. We do today, as is evident from the Russian bear, the British lion and the American eagle.
This scarlet-colored wild beast represents a combination of nations, as the League of Nations was and the United Nations is. It has blasphemous names plastered on
it, just as organized religion said the League was the political expression of Christ?s kingdom and has similarly extolled the United Nations as man?s only hope for
peace. False religions mixing in politics have tried to give guidance to the United Nations, just as the harlot atop the wild beast tried to ride it.

The account continues: ?The wild beast that you saw was, but is not, and yet is destined to ascend out of the abyss, and it is to go off into destruction.? For a time
the League of Nations ?was,? then ?was not? during World War II, but ascended out of the abyss of inactivity under a new name, the United Nations. Before it goes
into destruction it is shown devastating organized religion: ?And the ten horns that you saw, and the wild beast, these will hate the harlot and will make her devastated
and naked, and will eat up her fleshy parts and will completely burn her with fire. For God put it into their hearts to carry out his purpose.? Jehovah lets harlotrous
religion?s political paramours destroy her for her infidelity to him. We can already see radical political elements that are United Nations members turning against
religion and casting it off, and this spirit will increase until false religion is devastated.

And what then? These ?wild beast? nations ?will battle with the Lamb, but, because he is Lord of lords and King of kings, the Lamb will conquer them.? This is the
climax of Jehovah?s war of Armageddon and is when the wild beast will ?go off into destruction.? At this climactic time Satan and his demons will be put out of
existence, and thus will be erased the disunifying forces. Jehovah?s promised new world of righteousness will usher in complete unity.?Vss. 1-3, 8, 16, 17, 14,
    NW.

It is only a dream for men to think they will establish a unified world. Regardless of the system of government, the men who run it are imperfect and selfish and
frequently corrupt. Men would have to change, and they cannot change themselves. By studying the Bible men can make their minds over, strip off their old
personality and don a new one devoted to righteousness and morality. (Rom. 12:2; Col. 3:5-10) But today?s world leaders, along with multitudes of persons, think
the Bible impractical and shun it. And even if they did conform themselves to the Bible principles unity would not be attained. Why? Because Satan would still be the
god of this world. (2 Cor. 4:4) Man cannot crush this invisible tyrant god.

Eleven years ago Winston Churchill took off on a flight of pretentious oratory and said the Allies look ahead to ?when we shall have finally beaten down Satan under
our feet.? He not only borrowed this from the Bible but edited it, substituting the Allies for God. Only God will crush Satan underfoot. (Rom. 16:20) Ten years later
Churchill had not walked all over Satan and was not nearly so confident of handling matters, for he said: ?A fearful question confronts us: Have our problems got
beyond our control?? They always were and always will be. Satan is the cause of present woes, and only Jehovah can eliminate that cause. We can see Satan?s
works, just as we can see the devastation wrought by a hurricane or splitting atoms; but we cannot see Satan, any more than we can see the wind or the atoms.

There are things we can do. We can study the Bible, obey it, declare its message to others and sound the warning of Armageddon?s impending destruction. By
having the truth declared Christ is separating people as a shepherd divides the sheep from the goats. When that is done Armageddon will strike. Satan will be
abyssed. The earth will not be burned up. Just as we would not burn down a barn to kill the rats, Jehovah will not burn up the earth to kill the goats, or Satan. He
will destroy this present wicked system and replace it with a righteous system, his new world. Obedient men, at unity with Jehovah, his King, his Word and
purposes, will live therein forever. Disunity started when disobedience to God started. It will end when disobedience to God ends. We can end our disobedience
now; Jehovah will end Satan?s at the close of Christ?s thousand-year reign. We should do what we can; Jehovah will do what we cannot. Only in this way can men
escape the present nightmare of disunity and attain a new world of unity and everlasting life.

Then, in that new world of Jehovah?s building, our unity will match that of the heavens, that of the locusts who do not break rank, that of the many varied colors of
nature, that of the countless sounds of different pitch and volume that fill stream and field, woodland and mountain. Our unity will match theirs because it will come
from the same source, from Jehovah the God of unity, the Creator of the righteous new world of unity, the Inviter of unity lovers to enter it and live eternally. Will you
accept his invitation? Will you live in this new world of unity, which men can only dream about, but which only Jehovah can accomplish?

    Place of Safety

Where is the place of safety? Certainly it is not within Christendom?s religions. Nor is it within the other world religions. They have followed a course like that of
Christendom and, with it, form the symbolic woman Babylon the Great. Like a figurative harlot they have been ?riding high? on the backs of the political powers,
including their United Nations Organization, symbolized in the Bible by a seven-headed beast with ten horns on which Babylon the Great rides. But God?s Word
foretells a sudden reversal for the world empire of false religion. It shows that the political powers, the symbolic beast with its ten horns, are going to ?hate the harlot
and will make her devastated and naked, and will eat up her fleshy parts and will completely burn her with fire.??Rev. 17:16-18.

For that reason God?s call is: ?Get out of her, my people, if you do not want to share with her in her sins, and if you do not want to receive part of her plagues. For
her sins have massed together clear up to heaven, and God has called her acts of injustice to mind.? (Rev. 18:4, 5) The destruction of the world empire of false
religion will be swift, as if in ?one hour.??Rev. 18:19, 21.

Is it enough to withdraw from such doomed religious systems? No, for God?s prophetic word shows that the beastlike political systems will themselves thereafter
come in for destruction in what is called God?s war of Armageddon. (Rev. 16:14, 16; 19:11-21) The only place of safety therefore is on the side of God?s kingdom
by his Son. Only by firmly taking your stand there can you step out from under the huge debt of bloodguilt for which the nations must shortly be brought to an
    accounting.

Do you wish help in learning how to do this from God?s Word the Bible? Write the publishers of Awake! magazine and they will be happy to have a qualified
minister, one of Jehovah?s witnesses, call and answer your Bible questions, even offer you a regular Bible study in the privacy of your own home. The only cost to
you will be some of your time and effort, during approximately one hour a week.

?THE DISGUSTING THING THAT CAUSES DESOLATION?

35 Another feature of the ?sign? ensures that the long-awaited ?end? is near. Although other startling things might occur within the critical period and yet the end
would not be right then, Jesus foretold one ominous thing that proved that the hour of calamity was about to strike, that the desolating end was about to overtake all
those delaying flight to safety. In the case of the first-century inhabitants of the Roman province of Judea, it was the surrounding of Jerusalem with encamped armies,
the standing of the ?disgusting thing that causes desolation? in the place where it ought not to stand, ?a holy place.? Then of all times it was the occasion for Jews
believing in Jesus as Messiah to flee clear out of Judea. But do we see anything today like a ?disgusting thing? that is a desolator? Its appearing bodes no good for
religious Christendom, for she is the modern-day counterpart of unfaithful Jerusalem of the first century. That holy capital of Jewish worship was desolated by armed
forces of the Sixth World Power of Bible history, the pagan Roman Empire. But that imperial world power is now gone!

36 Today, since 1914, the world scene is still dominated by the Seventh World Power, the British-American Dual World Power. With Britain?s king or queen
claiming to be the head of the Anglican Church, the Church of England, and with the United States of America being declared by its Supreme Court to be a
?Christian nation,? this Seventh World Power is a prominent part of Christendom and a stout defender of her. So, in its religious aspect, it is due to feel some of the
effects produced by that disgusting desolator.

37 However, the last book of the Holy Bible discloses an EIGHTH WORLD POWER. Intriguingly, Revelation 17:9-11 informs us of what the apostle John was
told in his vision of a wild beast, scarlet in color, having seven heads and ten horns, and being ridden by the religious harlot, ?Babylon the Great.? The verses say:
?Here is where the intelligence that has wisdom comes in: The seven heads mean seven mountains, where the woman sits on top. And there are seven kings: five
have fallen, one is, the other has not yet arrived, but when he does arrive he must remain a short while. And the wild beast that was but is not, it is also itself an eighth
king, but springs from the seven, and it goes off into destruction.?

38 In the apostle John?s day, in the first century, the Sixth World Power was holding him as a prisoner on the penal island of Patmos. The Seventh World Power
had not yet arrived, for history verifies that it arrived first in the eighteenth century, when Great Britain became the commercial and naval mistress of the seas. So this
Seventh World Power is just more than two centuries old today, and this is a ?short while? in comparison with the nearly eighteen centuries of domination by the
Sixth World Power. So the seventh head of the scarlet-colored wild beast represented this Seventh World Power; the other heads represent the preceding six world
powers, the Egyptian, the Assyrian, the Babylonian, the Medo-Persian, the Grecian and the Roman. All these seven world powers have had relations with the
religious harlot, ?Babylon the Great,? who is the world empire of false religion.?Revelation 17:1-6, 18.

39 Since the wild beast ?is also itself an eighth king,? it represents an eighth world power. This does not mean Communist Russia or the Communist bloc of nations,
for Russia and the Communist bloc did not ?spring from the seven,? that is, from the seven preceding world powers. Concerning the Communist bloc of nations it
cannot be said that ?the wild beast was, but is not, and yet will be present.??Revelation 17:8.

40 So what is the Eighth World Power, which the Babylonish world empire of false religion has been riding till now, as the harlot Babylon the Great rode the
scarlet-colored wild beast seen in the apostle John?s vision? It is the international organization for world peace and security. Prior to World War II this was called
the League of Nations, and since World War II it has been called the United Nations. This ?world peace and security? agency was organized in the first post-war
year of 1919, but it went into the abyss of inaction and incompetency when World War II broke out in 1939. During World War II it ?was not? for all practical
purposes as a keeper of world peace. After World War II ended in 1945, it came up out of the abyss, this time under the new name, United Nations. It has been
?present? since that time. Today it has a world membership of 132 nations. These are all militarily armed, five of these nations being already armed with nuclear
    bombs.

41 Well, but why is the symbolic wild beast, the Eighth World Power, the United Nations of today, identified with the ?disgusting thing that causes desolation?? Its
being likened to a seven-headed wild beast carrying a harlot on its back shows that it is unclean in God?s sight, ?disgusting? to Him. Since it ?springs from the seven?
non-Christian world powers, it is not a Christian organization. Half of the member nations of the United Nations do not even profess to be Christian, but here we find
nations of Christendom in political union with non-Christian or pagan nations. The United Nations is a part of this world and is a ?friend of the world? and,
consequently, is an ?enemy of God.? (James 4:4; John 8:23; 18:36) Messianic hopes are attached to it by its idolizers, and it is accepted by Christendom as a
substitute for the established Messianic kingdom of God. Disgusting!

42 The United Nations is credited with having done many good things. How possibly could it be called a desolator, a ?thing that causes desolation?? Well, the Sixth
World Power, the Roman Empire, was trying to preserve the Pax Romana throughout the earth and was trying to hold down peace in the Middle East; but latterly its
armed forces turned to becoming the desolator of the religious holy city of Jerusalem. Likewise, the Eighth World Power, the United Nations, has not yet finished its
foretold world role before it ?goes off into destruction.? (Revelation 17:11) It will yet turn out to be a ?thing that causes desolation.? To whom? Revelation 17:15-18
reveals to us to whom. There we read:

43 ?The waters that you saw, where the harlot is sitting, mean peoples and crowds and nations and tongues. And the ten horns that you saw, and the wild beast,
these will hate the harlot and will make her devastated and naked, and will eat up her fleshy parts and will completely burn her with fire. For God put it into their
hearts to carry out his thought, even to carry out their one thought by giving their kingdom to the wild beast, until the words of God will have been accomplished.
And the woman whom you saw means the great city that has a kingdom over the kings of the earth.?

44 So the Eighth World Power, the United Nations, will turn into a ?thing that causes desolation? when it brings to desolation the symbolic international harlot,
Babylon the Great. Ancient Babylon on the Euphrates River was a city, and Babylon the Great is therefore likened to a ?great city.? And since she has a ?kingdom
over the kings of the earth,? Babylon the Great means the world empire of false religion. The thing for sensible persons to do now is to get out of that Babylonish
world empire of false religion before destruction comes upon it, for fear that they might be destroyed with it. This is the very thing that the inspired call from heaven
tells persons who desire to be God?s people to do, saying: ?Get out of her, my people, if you do not want to share with her in her sins, and if you do not want to
receive part of her plagues.??Revelation 18:1-4.

45 This is no time for us to be deceived. Because Christendom claims to be Christian, her church people belonging to her hundreds of religious sects should not think
that they have already got out of Babylon the Great. As long as they remain a part of Christendom, they are staying with Babylon the Great and sharing in her sins.
Why so? Because Christendom is herself a part of Babylon the Great, in fact, the most dominant part of that world empire of false religion. Furthermore, war-guilty,
bloodstained Christendom is the antitypical modern-day unfaithful Jerusalem, from whom all of Jesus? true disciples must flee for their lives. For, when the Eighth
World Power (the United Nations) desolates Babylon the Great, it will also destroy the most reprehensible part of Babylon the Great, namely, Christendom. Lovers
of life in harmony with the true God must flee out of Christendom without delay, just as the Jewish disciples of Jesus Christ fled out of Judea and Jerusalem after they
saw the ?disgusting thing that causes desolation . . . standing? in the place that was considered very holy by the Jews.

46 During this ?presence? or parousia of the reigning King Jesus Christ since 1914 C.E., God-fearing persons have been warned to get out of Babylon the Great lest
they be caught in her destruction. An early warning was given by the publication of the book entitled ?The Finished Mystery? by the People?s Pulpit Association in
July of 1917, after the United States of America had got into World War I. This book presented a verse-for-verse commentary upon the entire book of Revelation,
including chapters seventeen and eighteen. This is the book that came under governmental ban early in the following year. Before this, however, that early warning
was sounded extensively on Sunday, December 30, 1917. This was done on the morning of that day by a concerted distribution throughout the land of the four-page
tract Bible Students Monthly, Volume 9, No. 9, entitled ?The Fall of Babylon.? This simultaneous distribution of this strongly worded tract from coast to coast was
followed by public talks on the subject of Babylon that Sunday afternoon.?See The Watch Tower and Herald of Christ?s Presence under date of December 15,
    1917, page 370, under the heading ?Volunteer Day?December 30th.?

47 Since modern-day Babylon the Great (including Christendom) is to be destroyed by the ?disgusting thing that causes desolation,? early postwar thinking by Bible
students concerned itself with identifying what that disgusting thing or abomination was in twentieth-century developments. After the League of Nations was
established and a mandate over Palestine was given to the British Empire, The Watch Tower as of January 1, 1921, page 12, under the heading ?Spoken of by
    Daniel,? said:

. . . since the land belongs to Jehovah, it follows that the beasts in question [of Revelation, chapter 13] have no authority to exercise a controlling power over the
land of Palestine; and their man-made thing, the League of Nations (under the authority of which the British Empire holds a mandate over Palestine), is an
abomination unto the Lord. This abomination, therefore, is standing where it ought not to stand. . . .

Mark, then, the further corroborative evidence that we have reached the end of the world; viz., the abomination of desolation standing where it ought not to
stand??standing in the holy place?, the Holy Land, God?s own land; and seeing Jerusalem ?compassed with armies??the armies of the other beast; and let him
who is able to read understand and know that we have reached the end of the world. . . .

48 Although being based upon a literal application of Matthew 24:15, and Mark 13:14 (Authorized Version), the conclusion proved to be correct, that the
?abomination of desolation? (or, ?the disgusting thing that causes desolation?) was at that time the League of Nations. Years afterward, that international organization
for world peace and security was identified as being the Eighth World Power of Bible prophecy. This identification came on Sunday night, May 30, 1926, in the
public address delivered in the Royal Albert Hall, London, England, and entitled ?Why World Powers Are Tottering? The Remedy.? When dealing with the theme
?League Foretold,? the speaker, President J. F. Rutherford of the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society, said:

God foretold the seven world powers, to wit, Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome and the British Empire, and also foretold that out of the seven
would grow the eighth. The latter is also symbolized as a ?beast?, because its purpose is to rule and control the peoples of the earth. The Lord foretold its birth, its
short existence, and its everlasting end.?Revelation 17:10, 11; Isaiah 8:9, 10.?See The Watch Tower as of July 15, 1926, page 215.

49 Thus after World War I ended in 1918, the surviving anointed remnant of Jehovah?s ?chosen? ones began to catch sight of the ?disgusting thing that causes
desolation? and to get an understanding of it and of what its appearing on the world scene meant. They had come into bondage to Babylon the Great and her
political and military paramours during World War I, and now they responded to the heavenly call to get out of her. Those God-fearing persons who were afterward
added to His remnant of ?chosen? ones also obeyed the divine command and left Babylon the Great (including Christendom). Since the antitypical unfaithful
Jerusalem, namely, Christendom, is not confined to earthly Jerusalem and the land of Palestine but is world wide, those fleeing from her did not have to wait until
seeing Christendom surrounded by the armed forces of the Eighth World Power (the international organization for world peace and security). The angelic command,
?Get out of her, my people, if you do not want to share with her in her sins, and if you do not want to receive part of her plagues,? did not wait until that event.

50 However, the flight of Jehovah?s anointed ?chosen? ones before that event was a noteworthy indication that the desolating of unfaithful Christendom and the rest
of Babylon the Great was approaching and was due to occur during this generation, during the lifetime of the Eighth World Power, which is short as if for but ?one
hour.? The prompt early flight of Jehovah?s ?chosen? ones was a reliable example for the ?great crowd? of Christ?s ?other sheep? to follow from the year 1935 C.E.
onward till now. The desolating of antitypical unfaithful Jerusalem, Christendom, and the remainder of Babylon the Great by the armed forces of the ?disgusting thing?
cannot now be far off in the future. Be it noted that the ?disgusting thing? does its desolating of Babylon the Great after it, as the Eighth World Power, ascends out of
the ?abyss.? The Eighth World Power, under the form of the League of Nations, took a fall into the ?abyss? of deathlike impotency with the outbreak of World War
II in 1939, and it came up out of the ?abyss? in 1945, but under the form of the United Nations. (Revelation 17:8, 11, 12) That was nearly thirty years ago. It is
unsafe to delay flight much longer!

    WT 15 Dec 1975 p743
    THE DISGUSTING DESOLATOR

The Bible points to an organization reflecting the flaws and weaknesses of the entire present-day political system. This organization is spoken of as being the ?image
of the wild beast? and is itself referred to as a ?scarlet-colored wild beast.? (Rev. 13:15; 17:3) The ?wild beast? of which the ?scarlet-colored wild beast? is the
?image? is described in Scripture as being ?like a leopard,? having feet ?as those of a bear? and a mouth ?as a lion?s mouth.? (Rev. 13:2) By comparing this
description with what is stated at Daniel 7:3-7, 17-23, we can see that the ?wild beast? is a combination of beasts, such as those mentioned in the book of Daniel.
Those beasts are specifically identified as kings or kingdoms.

Therefore, the ?wild beast? out of the ?sea? must represent the global political system made up of the ?kings? or ruling powers on earth. It is said to have ?ten horns
and seven heads, and upon its horns ten diadems, but upon its heads blasphemous names.? (Rev. 13:1) So it is Satan?s agelong political organization that has always
    blasphemed the true God.

The identification of the ?wild beast? provides the key for determining the identity of its ?image.? What organization today is the ?image? or reflection of the
worldwide political system? Is it not the United Nations organization? Does not that organization mirror the flaws and imperfections of the world?s political system?

The Bible speaks of a harlot, ?Babylon the Great,? as riding on the back of the ?scarlet-colored wild beast,? or the political ?image? of the ?wild beast,? that is, the
United Nations of today. When the United Nations organization came into existence, ?Babylon the Great,? of which the religions of Christendom are a dominant
part, gave her support to it, viewing it as man?s only hope for peace and security. She looked to that organization to prevent conflicts that could result in her
annihilation. In this way the United Nations organization has proved to be like a mount under her. She has depended upon it as does a rider upon his horse.

?Babylon the Great,? however, will experience bitter disappointment. She will become an object of hatred. With reference to what the ?scarlet-colored wild beast?
will do to her, Revelation 17:16 says: ?The ten horns that you saw, and the wild beast, these will hate the harlot and will make her devastated and naked, and will eat
up her fleshy parts and will completely burn her with fire.?

According to Revelation 17:12, the ?ten horns? are ?ten kings.? Ten being a number of completeness in the symbolic language of the Bible (comparable to ten toes
and ten fingers), a complete number of earthly rulers, not a minority, will turn against the religions of Christendom and the rest of ?Babylon the Great.? But not just
the symbolic ?ten kings? will take such aggressive action. The entire organization represented by the ?scarlet-colored wild beast? (the United Nations) will do so.

In acting against Christendom?s religions, the ?desolator? will not be acting out of any love for God. But God will maneuver it to serve his purpose in destroying
religions that are ?Christian? in name only. The motivations of the desolator will be totally selfish. It has utter contempt for Christendom?s church systems. But since
these religious organizations claim to represent the true God, the desolator will act also in hatred against the One whom they pretend to serve. This vicious, beastly
attitude against God and its ?blaspheming? his name make the desolator a ?disgusting thing? from Jehovah?s viewpoint.

    Man's Salvation 1975 p 236

THE ROLE OF THE EIGHTH WORLD POWER

21 To the wondering apostle John, God?s angel said: ?I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the wild beast that is carrying her and that has the seven heads
and the ten horns: The wild beast that you saw was, but is not, and yet is about to ascend out of the abyss, and it is to go off into destruction. And when they see
how the wild beast was, but is not, and yet will be present, those who dwell on the earth will wonder admiringly, but their names have not been written upon the
scroll of life from the founding of the world. . . . And the wild beast that was but is not, it is also itself an eighth king, but springs from the seven, and it goes off into
    destruction.??Revelation 17:7-11.

22 The symbolic wild beast with seven heads and ten horns pictures ?an eighth king,? that is to say, an eighth world power. This world power came into existence
after the end of the Gentile Times in 1914 C.E. and after World War I. Modern history identifies this Eighth World Power as being the international organization for
world peace and security. This was formed in 1919 and went into operation early in 1920. The Seventh World Power, namely, the Anglo-American World Power,
was largely responsible for the formation of that organization for world peace and security. (Revelation 13:11-15) It began under the name ?The League of Nations.?
It sprang from the preceding seven world powers in that it combined in itself the Seventh World Power and all the relics of the preceding six world powers.

23 In 1939 C.E. the League of Nations went into the abyss of deathlike impotency because of the outbreak of World War II. After the close of World War II in the
summer of 1945, this Eighth World Power that was assigned to safeguarding world peace and security ascended out of the wartime abyss, especially by the aid of
the Seventh World Power, the dual world power of Britain and America. It took on a new name, United Nations. Beginning with fifty-one member nations, it today
has one hundred and thirty-eight member nations. Christendom has a large representation in the United Nations by its many nations that are members of that world
organization. Judaism, with its worldwide membership of 14,443,925 Orthodox and Reform Jews, has its representation in the United Nations by means of the
Republic of Israel since the year 1949. So Babylon the Great dominates Judaism.

24 When the scarlet-colored wild beast with seven heads and ten horns ascended out of the abyss in the form of the United Nations, Babylon the Great immediately
got on its back again as a ?queen? with a ?kingdom over the kings of the earth.? She took this action by putting her faith in that man-made organization for world
peace and security rather than in the Messianic kingdom of God that was being proclaimed world wide by Jehovah?s Christian witnesses. She put her dependence
upon this antichrist organization for her preservation from annihilation in the postwar period. Confidently, riding that symbolic wild beast, Babylon the Great ?keeps
saying, ?I sit a queen, and I am no widow, and I shall never see mourning.?? (Revelation 18:7) But she has miscalculated!

25 The ?ten horns? of that symbolic scarlet-colored wild beast are destined to turn upon the harlotrous world empire of false religion. Said God?s angel to the
apostle John as he watched the prophetic vision: ?And the ten horns that you saw mean ten kings, who have not yet [in John?s day] received a kingdom, but they do
receive authority as kings one hour with the wild beast [by joining the modern world organization for peace and security]. These have one thought, and so they give
their power and authority to the wild beast [now the United Nations]. . . . The waters that you saw, where the harlot is sitting, mean peoples and crowds and nations
and tongues. And the ten horns that you saw, and the wild beast, these will hate the harlot and will make her devastated and naked, and will eat up her fleshy parts
and will completely burn her with fire. . . . And the woman whom you saw means the great city [Babylon the Great] that has a kingdom over the kings of the
    earth.??Revelation 17:12-18.

26 The symbolic ?ten horns? (the member nations of the world organization for peace and security) will lose their passionate attraction to the harlotrous world empire
of false religion and will gore her to death. In fact, the whole symbolic wild beast (now the United Nations) will cease to find satisfaction in their lustful relationship
with the ?great harlot,? Babylon the Great, and the mouths of the ?seven heads? of the scarlet-colored ?wild beast? will ?eat up her fleshy parts.? To the whole ?wild
beast? organization, ?ten horns? and all, she will become as a worn-out old harlot, no longer desirable for greedy, selfish use. Realistically, under stress of the global
crisis, the political rulers, whose nations are members in the United Nations, will become hardheaded in the light of the worsening world conditions. Ignoring all
sentimentality, they will be forced to take drastic, heartless action for the preservation of their political institutions and social, economic structure. They will see that
the world empire of false religion is an international nuisance and a hindrance to their emergency operations because of the Babylonish religious beliefs, practices and
    customs.

27 The many gods and goddesses that Babylon the Great has worshiped will not come to the aid of the world empire of false religion, to save her from action by her
former lustful paramours. Her former lovers, the political and military elements, will realize that those deities of Babylon the Great are helpless and have been of no
saving powers to them when prayed to by the priests, chaplains, clergymen and religious potentates of the world empire of false religion. Those political and military
elements will feel deceived, tricked, fooled and will lose respect for worldly religion. They will not have to turn Communist in order to ?hate the harlot,? but will
simply turn radical and thus be able to cooperate with ?godless Communism? in doing away with the hypocritical religious organization. They will give her the
treatment that was meted out to some harlots in ancient times, ?completely burn her with fire.??Genesis 38:24.

28 We can imagine what this will mean to the Vatican and its Basilica of Saint Peter, to the religious cathedrals, churches, mosques, temples, synagogues, shrines,
and to other religious structures! We can imagine what is in store for those who officiate in impressive vestments in those religious buildings. Let not Christendom
imagine that she will escape because she parades before the world in the name of Christ. She, too, has played the religious ?harlot? like her mother, Babylon the
Great. The friendship that she has cultivated and maintained with the political and military elements of this world will fail her. She will be shocked at finding that
adulterous friendship with this world made her an ?enemy of God? and of his Christ. (James 4:4) Even the celebrating of the Holy Year of 1975 does not alter her
status before Jehovah God. She must be reduced to the state of emptiness and wasteness like that foretold for ancient Edom.?Isaiah 34:11-13; compare
    Revelation 18:2, 8.

29 As respects Judaism, it has taken its stand with Babylon the Great. The Republic of Israel, as one of the 138 Jewish, Arab, Moslem, Hindu, Buddhist, so-called
?Christian,? Communist members of the United Nations, has been under the rider of that Eighth World Power, namely, Babylon the Great. (Revelation 17:3-6) In
the first century of our Common Era the Jewish Pharisee named Saul of Tarsus came out of Judaism and became the Christian apostle surnamed Paul. (Galatians
1:1, 13-17; Philippians 3:3-6) Dissimilar to this Saul of Tarsus, the vast majority of the natural, circumcised Jews have clung to the traditional Judaism.

    30 In the year of 70 C.E., their stronghold of Judaism, Jerusalem, was destroyed by the pagan Romans, just as Jesus Christ foretold. (Matthew 24:1-3, 15-22;
Luke 21:20-24) That destruction of Jerusalem and its temple and the desolation of the land of Judah by the Romans became a prophetic type of the destruction and
desolation now due to come upon Christendom in the ?great tribulation? ahead. Since Judaism holds to the stand that it took in the first century C.E., and that
brought disaster on it in 70 C.E., it will suffer the same fate as its antitype, Christendom, will suffer.

31 So, the time is approaching when Babylon the Great is no more! This means that the time must come when Christendom and Judaism are no more! But what
about the proclaimers of the established Messianic kingdom of God, namely, Jehovah?s Christian witnesses? What about the spiritual paradise in which they are now
residing? The inspired prophetic Scriptures reveal to them what to expect.?Amos 3:7; Revelation 1:1-3.

    WT 15 May 1984 p6
    Does Your Religion Matter?

Could that destruction affect you? Well, do you belong to one of the world?s many religions? Do you know how God views those religions? What is their future?

Under the symbol of a ?great harlot? named ?Babylon the Great,? the inspired apostle John described a system that has benefited for centuries from intimate
association with ?the kings of the earth? who wield political power. This ?harlot? has also benefited from dealings with ?the traveling merchants,? that is, the world?s
commercial element. What system is this that has also lorded it over the ?peoples and crowds and nations and tongues?? It is false religion! Yes, all religions that are
false from Jehovah God?s standpoint constitute this ?great harlot,? who is actually a world empire. But what does the immediate future hold for her??Revelation
    17:1-8, 15; 18:15-17.

Revelation 17:16 indicates that radical political elements within the United Nations (the ?scarlet-colored wild beast?) will hate the religious harlot and devastate her.
Already, powerful atheistic and antireligious elements in the UN have taken steps to stamp out religion within their domain. But more drastic action is expected in the
near future when these political elements devastate not only Christendom but also the other great religious systems. Logically, the anti-God forces will also attack
Jehovah?s Witnesses who faithfully proclaim God?s Kingdom. This will be tantamount to attacking God himself and will provoke retaliation?God?s war of
    Armageddon!?Revelation 17:3, 12-16; 16:14-16; Ezekiel 38:10-12, 18-23; Zechariah 2:8.

    WT 1 Nov 1987 p28
    Where Do You Stand?

Remarkable as it may seem, false religion has had its day. Its practices, customs, traditions, and privileges will soon disappear. That may seem as unlikely to you as
the swamping of the Catholic Church did to people in the 16th century. But the Reformation waters were overwhelming. Church wealth went to the people, its
power to the monarchs. Even so in our day, the nations will preside over the final dissolution of false religion.

What does that mean for you personally? Examine the religious institution to which you belong. Does what it stands for agree with the Bible in every way? If not,
then your organization is part of ?Babylon the Great,? or the world empire of false religion. Follow the command found at Revelation 18:4, which is: ?Get out of her,
my people, . . . if you do not want to receive part of her plagues.?

Remember, the tidal wave bringing conclusive destruction to false religion is on its way. It can be seen on the horizon. Where will you be standing when it brings
thunderous destruction? In the valley of indifference? On the hill of some secular authority? Or on the mountain of Jehovah? There is only one safe place to be.

    Revelation Climax 1988 p243

21 What of the League?s successor, the United Nations? From its inception, this body has also had the great harlot riding on its back, visibly associated with it and
trying to guide its destiny. For example, on its 20th anniversary, in June 1965, representatives of the Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church,
together with Protestants, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, and Muslims?said to represent two thousand million of earth?s population?assembled in San Francisco to
celebrate their support and admiration of the UN. On visiting the UN in October 1965, Pope Paul VI described it as ?that greatest of all international organizations?
and added: ?The peoples of the earth turn to the United Nations as the last hope of concord and peace.? Another papal visitor, Pope John Paul II, addressing the
UN in October 1979, said: ?I hope the United Nations will ever remain the supreme forum of peace and justice.? Significantly, the pope made no mention of Jesus
Christ or of God?s Kingdom in his speech. During his visit to the United States in September 1987, as reported by The New York Times, ?John Paul spoke at
length about the positive role of the United Nations in promoting . . . ?new worldwide solidarity.??
Question: 21. What shows that the great harlot supports and admires the League?s successor, the United Nations?

A Report Out Of the Sunrising

16 Before the final battle, Armageddon, a great enemy of true worship must be destroyed?harlotlike Babylon the Great, the worldwide empire of false religion.
(Revelation 18:3-8) Her destruction is foreshadowed by the pouring out of the sixth bowl of God?s wrath on the symbolic river Euphrates. The river dries up ?that
the way might be prepared for the kings from the rising of the sun.? (Revelation 16:12) Who are these kings? None other than Jehovah God and Jesus Christ!

17 The destruction of Babylon the Great is graphically described in the book of Revelation: ?The ten horns that you saw [the ?kings? ruling in the time of the end],
and the wild beast [the scarlet-colored wild beast, representing the United Nations organization], these will hate the harlot and will make her devastated and naked,
and will eat up her fleshy parts and will completely burn her with fire.? (Revelation 17:16) Truly, the nations ?destroy much flesh?! (Daniel 7:5) But why will the rulers,
including the king of the north, destroy Babylon the Great? Because ?God puts it into their hearts to carry out his thought.? (Revelation 17:17) The report ?out of the
sunrising? may well refer to this act of Jehovah, when, in a way that he chooses, he puts it into the hearts of human leaders to annihilate the great religious
    harlot.?Daniel 11:44.

    WT 1 May 1999 p15

7 Since World War I, we have seen the larger fulfillment of Jesus? sign recorded in Matthew chapter 24. Yet, recall his words: ?When you catch sight of the
disgusting thing that causes desolation . . . standing in a holy place, . . . then let those in Judea begin fleeing to the mountains.? (Matthew 24:15, 16) This aspect of the
prophecy must have a fulfillment in our time too.

8 Demonstrating the confidence of Jehovah?s servants that this prophecy would be fulfilled, The Watchtower of January 1, 1921, focused on it in connection with
developments in the Middle East. Subsequently, in its December 15, 1929, issue, on page 374, The Watchtower definitively said: ?The whole tendency of the
League of Nations is to turn the people away from God and from Christ, and it is therefore a desolating thing, the product of Satan, and an abomination in the sight
of God.? So in 1919 ?the disgusting thing? appeared. In time, the League gave way to the United Nations. Jehovah?s Witnesses have long exposed these human
peace organizations as disgusting in God?s sight.

    WT 15 Feb 2004 p16

    Guard Against Deception by Apostates

6 Satan has long used apostates in his efforts to seduce God?s servants. (Matthew 13:36-39) Apostates may claim to worship Jehovah and to believe the Bible, but
they reject the visible part of his organization. Some even return to the God-dishonoring doctrines of "Babylon the Great," the world empire of false religion.
(Revelation 17:5; 2 Peter 2:19-22) Under divine inspiration, the Bible writers used strong words to expose the motives and methods of apostates.

7 What is it that apostates want? Most are not content to leave the faith that they once perhaps viewed as true. Often, they want to take others with them. Rather
than going out and making their own disciples, many apostates seek to "draw away the disciples [that is, Christ?s disciples] after themselves." (Acts 20:29,30)
Regarding false teachers, the apostle Paul sounded this urgent warning: "Look out: perhaps there may be someone who will carry you off as his prey." (Colossians
2:8) Does that not describe what many apostates try to do? Like a kidnapper who carries an unsuspecting victim away from his family, apostates prey upon trusting
members of the congregation, seeking to carry them away from the flock.

8 What methods do apostates use to achieve their aim? They often resort to distortions, half-truths, and outright falsehoods. Jesus knew that his followers would be
victimized by those who would "tell all kinds of evil lies against" them. (Matthew 5:11, Today?s English Version) Such malicious opposers would tell what is not true
with the intent to deceive others. The apostle Peter warned against apostates who would use ""counterfeit words," spread "deceptive teachings," and ?twist the
Scriptures? to their own ends. (2 Peter 2:3, 13; 3:16) Sadly, apostates succeed in "subverting the faith of some."?2 Timothy 2:18

9 How can we guard against being deceived by apostates? By heeding the advice from God?s Word, which says: "Keep your eye on those who cause divisions and
occasions for stumbling contrary to the teaching that you have learned, and avoid them." (Romans 16:17) We "avoid them" by steering clear of their
reasoning?whether in person, in printed form, or on the Internet. Why do we take such a stand? First, because God?s Word directs us to do so, and we trust that
Jehovah always has our best interests at heart.?Isaiah 48:17,18.

10 Second, we love the organization that has taught us the precious truths that so plainly separate us from Babylon the Great. At the same time, we recognize that
our knowledge of God?s purpose is not perfect, our understanding has undergone adjustments over the years. Loyal Christians are content to wait on Jehovah for all
such refinements. (Proverbs 4:18) Meanwhile, we will not abandon the organization that God is pleased to use, for we see the clear evidence of his blessing on
    it.?Acts 6:7; 1 Corinthians 3:6

By now you should be able to answer the first two questions: Who/what is the Wild Beast of Revelation? Who/what is the harlot of Revelation?

Feel free to stop reading this at any stage.

    Now,
How can Christians ensure that they do not fornicate with the Wild Beast?

    WT 15 Oct 1976 p634

WORSHIP OF THE ?WILD BEAST? TODAY

In modern times, the Christian body, known world wide as Jehovah?s Witnesses, has experienced from the ?wild beast? the same things as first-century Christians.
Take the African country of Malawi, for example. There all citizens have been required to become members of the country?s only existing political party, the
?Malawi Congress Party.? A membership card costing about twenty-five cents (U.S.) identifies the bearer as ?acquiescing to the principles of the ruling political
party,? especially to the Life President, Dr. H. Kamuzu Banda. How are the people of Malawi to view the purchase of a ?Party Card?? An official circular issued on
August 27, 1975, says: ?This is the one way in which we people of this country can show appreciation to our Life Leader, the Ngwazi [Dr. Banda] for developing
this country of Malawi.? Accordingly, refusal to buy a ?Party Card? is viewed as a lack of appreciation?an act of disloyalty to Life President Dr. Banda. The fact
that the person refusing to buy a ?Party Card? is a law-abiding citizen who truly loves his fellowmen is not taken into consideration. In the eyes of the Malawi
government, the individual is a criminal, not deserving of any legal protection.

As a result, men and women who, for conscience? sake, refused to buy ?Party Cards? have suffered terrible persecution. Many have had their homes
burned and their belongings seized. They have been severely beaten, often to the point of unconsciousness. Shocking indignities have been
perpetrated against them, including sexual abuses. Some have been killed. Thousands have been herded into concentration camps. Infants have been
taken from their mothers and later some of these have died because of not being given proper attention.

Many persons would probably say that it would surely be better just to buy the ?Party Card? and thus avoid trouble. Jehovah?s Christian witnesses, of course, do
not expect all people to understand their position nor are they interested in forcing their conscientious objections on others. In that respect, all they desire is to be
allowed to live morally clean lives, to be able to demonstrate, by word and action, depth of concern for their fellowmen, and to have the freedom to give God
    exclusive devotion.

As Jehovah?s Witnesses they value their relationship to God and Christ above everything else. Were they to identify themselves as giving unquestioning support to
any political arrangement, they would be acting contrary to the Bible?s teaching that all human governmental systems exist by God?s toleration only until such time as
he chooses to replace them by his kingdom in the hands of Jesus Christ. (Dan. 2:44; 7:13, 14) Jehovah?s Witnesses have promised to give unqualified allegiance
exclusively to God and Christ. Any act on their part that would indicate otherwise, therefore, would be an act of disloyalty. Such an act would be taking away from
God and Christ their rightful due and so would be worship of the ?wild beast.?

Moreover, the provisions for life come, not from the political state, but from God. The Christian apostle Paul told the men of Lystra: ?In the past generations [God]
permitted all the nations to go on in their ways, although, indeed, he did not leave himself without witness in that he did good, giving you rains from heaven and fruitful
seasons, filling your hearts to the full with food and good cheer.??Acts 14:16, 17.

Hence, whenever the enjoyment of God?s provisions is made dependent solely upon expressions of prescribed allegiance to the governmental authority (as, for
example, compulsory membership in the ruling political party), the state, by falsely representing itself as the source of all good things, makes itself a god. Those who
support the state?s policy in this regard, either voluntarily or under compulsion, become worshipers of the ?wild beast.? They give their assent to the wild beast?s
disregard for the true God and to all the brutalities that it commits against those who give Him exclusive devotion.

The answer as to why true Christians cannot and will not worship the ?wild beast? is, therefore, simple. The wild beast is not entitled to such worship.
No matter how insignificant the act required may seem, a Christian?s engaging in such worship would mean his being disloyal to God and Christ. True
Christians will, instead, show unbreakable devotion to the Giver of life and to his Son?s kingdom.

So, are you sure that you know the answers to the questions?

Who/what is the Wild Beast of Revelation?
Who/what is the harlot of Revelation?
How can Christians ensure that they do not fornicate with the Wild Beast?

I think you have composed a brilliant and beautiful letter, and I intend to use it, if I may. It is straight forward, honest and humble. I wish you lots of success.

What do you have to lose? Well, it might seem like everything, however, in my case, when I am forced into a corner and I am threatened with being abondoned, something in me cries out, "BRING IT ON!" If there is so much love in the org by its members, if my friends and family have so much love for "THE TRUTH" then let them hear "THE TRUTH" and love it. The org has always prided itself on refraining from tickling the ears of those who hear their message, therefore, let the chips fall where they may.

They must answer for their lies and deception.

A great piece of work Black Sheep but I hope that you have far more luck with your loved ones than I have had with mine over the years.

I have written numerous pieces like your own, starting with absolute and totally convincing evidence – including scriptural evidence - that the 607 B.C.E. date was completely wrong. I spent months researching and writing it and all I got was "don’t confuse me with the facts. I know what I believe is right. Whatever you or anyone else says I know I have the truth".

It can be heartbreaking at times.
